So what do you guy's think, did Muddy Creek answer any of the questions we had going in? Personally I think Tomac showed us he can still put two motos together. Blake showed incredible speed coming through the pack so it would have been interesting if he didn't go down in the first turn but I'm not sure it would have mattered for the win.

But I think the first moto gave a good showing of what will happen if they start together, remember Baggett was ahead of Tomac in the opening laps but didn't make moves nearly as well as ET.

Red Bud should be good!

So I think Tomac is better early in the motos. Baggett has struggled the past few weeks getting past guys early and that has allowed Tomac to get away. At top speed they are probably close but Baggett may be a little faster.

The first moto today was weird because Barcia was being a road block and only Anderson got by early but next week is a great track for Blake and probably Tomac is good there too so maybe we will finally get the battle we've been waiting for.

I'm betting Tomac lays the smack down on Blake at Southwick. I could be wrong though. I'm a fan of both guys. Not so much of Blake's mouth as of late. Seems a little premature to run your mouth. Not even a 1 - 1 day yet.

I don't think he necessarily really believes it, he's just trying to get into Tomac's head. Chris Eubank (British boxer) used to talk about purposely trying to make his opponents hate him - not sure what (if any) tactic there is there and if it can be applied to pro MX, but it's obviously what he's up to regardless. I have to agree with you though that I don't much like that loud mouth stuff, and as of now if anything it seems to be back firing. Happy to see the old Blake back this year but between the two Iv'e started rooting more for Eli lately.

I agree, I'm a fan of both guys and it's awesome to see Blake back up to speed, but him running his mouth like that has made me want to ET beat him, that's not to say I disagree with his methods because it makes it pretty entertaining for us.

So Blake talked a bunch of smack 4 motos ago and the only time he has finished ahead of Tomac is when Tomac lost his front end on a first lap and lollygagged to get going again. Yes, Blake is riding well compared to most of the other riders, but he's still yet to pass Tomac unless Tomac takes himself out first since the smack talk ensued.

I think Blake believes that his best chances of beating Eli is with mental game. Seems to me like he woke up a sleeping giant with the smack talk.

Regardless, it makes for good TV and racing. I'm just not one for the smack talk, never have been. Shoot, I think Eli is more beatable when he's in a not-giving-a-fuck funk. Good grief, don't give the guy a reason to get fired up. Seems like a tactical mistake if you ask me.

I always liked Blak, but that shit talk rubs me the wrong way. No way he would of had anything for Tomac in that 2nd Moto. Tomac opened a can of whoop ass & did his talking on the bike. Wow 26 seconds over 2nd! But it is nice to see Blake trying like he is. To make it back to 3rd is unreal.

I think he may regret the smack talk a,little. Anyone else notice in the post race podium interview, he tried spinning it like "it was all,in good fun"...i doubt that!..haha. I don't think he realized, the,other riders would take exception to it as well. Its good entertainment...

Not true. In the 2nd motot that day he passed tomac for the lead and just pulled away.

Thats something only roczen has done before.

I was at the race, went down to the podium after the second moto for the trophy presentation. There were a ton of us Tomac fans, and there were multiple time we started cheering for him and chanting his name, not just when he was talking, also happened when Blake was being interviewed and at the end of Jason's interview and when we were waiting. Eli almost seemed to not expect it and kept getting that shy smile. It felt nice to pump him up like that. If Blake wants to try and break Eli then we will build him up (and possibly break Blake in the process)
