Moto has developed into a sport where riders can't lift thier bikes into the stand. It's like going to the gym and waiting for a parking spot closer to the door so you don't have to walk so far.

In my day we used milk crates and we liked it like that.
The only reason I'd buy a lift stand is :my bike has a down pipe, it was for my daughter's pw50 or I was under 5' tall.
I suppose this is hard to argue with. With half the lift stands I think it's a bigger pain in the ass trying to stomp down on the pedal than it is to just lift the bike. Even though I think I have 5 lift stands in the shop, I've never paid for one. Just all the bikes I've bought over the years they've been thrown in on a lot of the deals. But for some strange reason I can never justify getting rid of any of em. 12 motorcycle stands and 3 dirtbikes. lol

I'd love to go back to the milk crate if anyone here can point me towards one that's tall enough.
I use the plastic crates that are for the 5 gallon water jugs. There tall, strong, and durable. When the bikes are tied down in the trailer, you can lay them flat and under the bike out of the way. I have one "normal" stand. If the bike isn't on it it seems to all ways be in the way.

May I suggest putting the stand name as the title of the thread, then asking your question in your actual post? I shouldn't have to click on a thread to know what it's about. This seems to happen about 1 out of every 4 new threads.

I will say the Harbor Freight lift stand is a POS. It broke when my buddy tried starting his bike on his. Get the MSR Economy stand if you want a "cheap" lift stand. Works great. Wide base for mud too. I've never had issues with it in the last 2 years.

Looks like it would be real easy to lube your chain with dirt track stand.

Giving people shit for using a lift stand is like going to the gym and calling people doing squats a bunch of pussies for using a belt.

Its smart. Nobody gives a shit about your ego and your milk crates.
