RM125 Cylinder Head Compatibility 2004 - 2007

Edited Date/Time 6/5/2017 5:17pm
Hey guys, I have a pair of 2007 RM125s i am restoring. One of the bikes has a damaged cylinder from a broken piston ring and i am looking to either replace the cylinder with a good second hand item or get the old cylinder welded and plated. i have found a 2004 cylinder i can get my hands on for $50 that is in fairly good condition however will it fit my 2007 model? Suzuki have the same part number listed for the 2004 and 2007 cylinders however i am not certain if it will bolt up. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

It should fit, but I would suggest getting the original cylinder fixed as the used one still may need work.

The powervalves are slightly different from 2004 vs 2005-2007.

I don't remember if they will interchange correctly. But i do remember the 2005 was a better design

The part numbers are different, plus I've had a 04 and 05 cylinder on my bench at the same time and although they look similar, the powervalves don't interchange

'05, '06, '07 and '08 are the same. '04, not so much.
