I was scanning the TWMX pics of the childrens hospital and found this shot of Maddo with the crutches. What happened to the new years eve master?

I was scanning the TWMX pics of the childrens hospital and found this shot of Maddo with the crutches. What happened to the new years eve master?
He had some rods removed from his lower legs. Even though we had a chair lined up for him, he refused to use it and was a total trooper, walking around for 5 hours using those things! The guy is a total stud and a really nice fella. His dad was very cool, also!

all the non moto guys at work still talk about MADDO's incredible NYE jumps. It gets YOUTUBE'd at least once a week. the most popular word to describe it is
"INCREDIBLE"
