Who is the sports biggest star now?

Wrong, 2 450 MX titles and 1 450 SX title in his first 4 years. My point is, how can Eli be the biggest star when he has zero big bike titles? He can't be, hasn't earned it. Kroc has two 450 outdoor titles so in my opinion he's the #1 as of now....as long as he can get back to somewhat resemble his previous self. Dunno if that's possible but it would be a shame if it's career ending.

Man...I cannot believe the number of people here who think Roczen is going to return...
The injury he sustained nearly meant his arm needed to be amputated...
He has compartment syndrome and they're looking for cadaver (as in dead person)
to get muscle from to reconstruct...Even with miraculous surgery and rehab
and recovery it would be years before it's even halfway usable..
Believe me I hope for a miracle but reality is he should concentrate
on getting as well as he can in the next few years and plan a new life..
(Unless he can race with one good arm)...

Future star...That little cracker Webb...He has what it takes to be a champ..

I would say if Webb can get some wins on the pig he is on now, he may be the next big thing. He has the attitude and fire in his belly. He has a sharp tongue and shows emotion. Eli doesn't do that at all. He is boring and as fast as he is, people won't invest emotionally for boring. I know a lot of people on here thought Dungey was boring, but Dungey had a great story, was humble, good looking, and won championships. He never complained about his bike and was always repectfull. People admire those qualities. He is good for the sport. Well respected by athletes outside of motorsports, which is pretty unusual.

People also like controversy, Webb could certainly bring that with him. He is a ferocious competitor and could easily overshadow Eli in the media arena if he starts to get some good results. It will be interesting to observe.

Eli hasn't won anything, he doesn't have the street cred yet to demand attention from casual fans. He's not handsome like Ryan, dosen't show emotion, his background story is pretty meh, there just isn't much about him that says I am the new sheriff in town. Most Eli fans I know are his because they didn't like Dungey or they love Kawasaki's. He is damn fast.

Championships make the stars shine

Unless riding a half season disqualifies him, it's gotta be Chad Reed right? Does anyone still racing get longer lines in the pits or have a bigger footprint on social media?

After Chad the next big star will be Cooper Webb, imo. Roczen will still be the biggest of all if he returns at 90% or better.

Team mates, Ben Dover and Phillip McCavity are the biggest in the British Series..
