What did 100% mean by this? - Goggle Safety Rating?

Looking for info on goggle safety rating and competitions. I recently bought a pair of 100%'s Race-Craft goggles. In the packaging is info on the goggles including noting that the goggles aren't for use in competitions or races. 100% says in the information packet, "This goggle is intended for motorsports use only except official races and competitions.

This leaves me wondering:

Does the AMA require safety ratings on racer's goggles?
If they do how are racers that ride for 100% allowed to wear their goggles in competitions?
Does any company make a safety rated goggle for official races and competitions?

It means it isn't OSHA approved as a safety goggle for industrial use in manufacturing, construction, etc.

I would bet that lawyers drafted this.

It's all an attempt to limit liability.

I would guess that they didn't want to imply that this goggle was suited for the particular purpose of racing so that in the event of an injury, a plaintiff can't say, "Well, I was led to believe that these goggles would adequately protect me during a race!"

I know they aren't ANSI rated. What I am wondering is does the AMA or other racing organization require ANSI rated goggles? If so who makes them?

The "s" is smaller than the regular NFX. It's not "small"...its Normal. The NFX is HUGE!

Educate yourselves!

Read your other user manuals boys and girls, this type of verbiage is common practice.
The text comes from the CE certification scope of EN1938 (MX goggles).
There is no AMA regulation on goggle specific certification, other than they must be shatter resistant.
