As a trainer myself, I admire Aldon's work...even though he promotes that ridiculous 4 arm strong. He's found a formula for success no doubt. Good for him and ZO16.

Yes he does. On top of his extreme fitness training and diet control, I think his secret is being able to get his riders heads sorted and solid

Is zachypoo the first rider he's actually turned into a champion? Aren't all his other previous riders already champs then they start working with him?

Also, he is a bit of a career killer it seems. All his riders retire early. Is he too extreme?

There are other threads about this. Yes Zach is the first i think. But keeping upfront is a feat in itself.
Obviously what works for one does not work for all. That is not that hard to understand, so i dont get the issue there.
Maybe it is the sport that causes burn out. Which would you choose:
Be top 5 and ride for 15 years; or
Work harder and win a few titles and retire younger but tired
Tough decision. Also you wont know how your body will respond intil you try. RC handled it. I think for RV it was mental not physical.

RC and RV retired around the same age didn't they? Late 20's, same as Dungey. That's what I mean it seems something In his system makes it tough to maintain mentally.

Or does he make them too rich to think "why do I need to keep doing this?"
