I'm looking for a set of 2009 KX250F cam cap bolts, ONE of mine snapped during head installation after piston change (20lb of torque) so I figured I would replace them all.

I can't find these anywhere. The manual tells me they are M10 but I don't know what length etc as it doesn't specifiy. Is there anywhere in the United Kingdom I can find these??

I feel like smashing my head against a wall I just can't find them. Any help would be so so so appreciated. thanks!

I don't know where you're getting M10 from- thats huge!

Are you talking the bolts that hold down the caps that cover the camshaft?

or

the bolts that hold down the outer cover?

Both of the above have M6 sized bolts.

M6 bolt uses a 10mm wrench or socket. Normal thread pitch is 1mm which can be measured with tape measure. I could have a flanged hex head class 10.8 or 8.8 bolt like that tomorrow from mcmaster carr. Not sure where you get specialized hardware in the UK.

I would get a torque wrench and moly assembly grease while you are at it. Torque for those bolts is 7.25 ft-lbs on my 2012 kx250f, so I imagine it is about the same on the 09
Thanks for this! I just ordered them. Much appreciated dude Smile

I couldn't find them anywhere in the UK so I've ordered them from Netherlands... Might be waiting a while for it Sad
