I picked up this slightly used RPM for $7K! Like you, I wanted something light to be pulled with a Ram 1500. This pulls great and has all I need. Seems like the smaller ones sell for more than larger ones - I suspect due to tow vehicle requirements.

Would love to get a new one like you are considering, but I can't justify it right now. Good luck and post what you get!!

Would you be willing to share some pictures of the interior of your unit? Been looking around a lot too. Really like the Livinlite stuff but cant justify that cost right now. Finding something like you did would be pretty sweet.

Sweet trailer! How does it do in the winter or cold? Does that bed get cold? Im really liking the livinlite's

I certainly wouldn't recommend it for winter. I've used it down to 0C, with the fold out you are essentially camping. Heater and a good sleeping back go a long way. Floor get cold with the all aluminum construction.

It's a toy hauler first, camper second.

I can make someone a sweet deal on a Raptor! Have 2 available right now!

3 Axle 5th wheel Attitude.

I tow with either a 3500 Long Bed Duramax 4x4 or the Dodge Dually Cummins.

To be honest, I want a 6.4 Hemi or the new 2018 420 HP 6.2 Chevy mated to an Allison. Diesels are just a headache if not towing all the time and they don't really get the mileage of the older ones so its a loss loss (Like the Cummins I have.

I don't really like the trans in the Dodge as much as a good old Ally.

I have yet to find a better working, smoother shifter setup than an Allison, and the spin on filter is a dream for maintainance.. Dump that Dex 6 shit after the 1st 5K and 1 a year, top it off, and use Delvac Syth ATF with the TES 295 Allison rating. Good to go.

I'd throw out Mototech trailers. They are involved in the off-road and Gncc scene. They make some sweet toy haulers that are based off cargo trailers or car haulers. They are custom built by them though.

We've been using this 24' Livin Lite VRV since 2011 and have never had one single issue with leaks, plumbing, roof cracks etc....all the bad things that happen to travel trailers. The Livin Lite is considerably more expensive but well worth it. If you plan on going the Forest River and any of it's brands be ready for repairs. We sell both brands and that's just the facts that I've seen between these two brands. This one below will sleep 6 comfy with every amenity of home. Don't let the all aluminum fool you, once we've got it loaded down there's a lot to pull. 3/4 ton at minimum to pull and stop safely.

Depending on how they are loaded, I am seeing them in the upper 20's.
^^^^^ What he said....it's so hard to price a used Livin Lite because they offer more options than a Cadillac. The only flaw I've seen and that would be because we exceeded the weight limit was a crack in a weld up close to the tongue at the cargo area. Other than that no problems period.

It really depends on what your primary usage is. I have had both, a Cargo trailer converted and two RV style Toy Haulers.

The Cargo Trailer was heavy as hell, it had a metal roof which rusted and leaked on me. I was able to fix it easily and it didnt do a lot of damage bc the Toy Hauler is pretty basic. Theres no bathroom, or sink in most, once you add plumbing you may as well get an RV. I had a microwave and cabinets and fold out beds. It was great to go riding with 1-2 buddys and rough it.

Now with the RV Toy Haulers, I can really venture out and take longer trips. There are so many more creature comforts and its like being in an apartment. I also use it with the family more often than I do for riding, so we get more use out of it.

I have not had any issues with the roof leaking, except for times when i have hit a tree limb and torn the rubber roof. This was easily fixable. The key is to get your roof looked at often by an RV Tech and keep it in good condition. I clean it and seal it twice a year myself, it takes about an hour. I tow with a 2016 RAM 3500 Diesel. I have towed with 1/2 ton trucks, bumper pull trailers with heavy tongue weight and up to 11K lbs. I used a load balancing hitch, airbags, heavy duty tires and it still sucked and was not safe. With the Dually, I can tow the rigs safely, and easily.

Bad shit can happen when the tail starts wagging the dog, and people are always cutting you off and trying to squeeze around or in front of you. Trying to emergency stop a 1/2 ton truck hauling a 28+ ft RV is not recommended!

If you have a family and want to take extended trips get an RV style Toy Hauler and dont worry about the leaks, just take care of the thing.

If you are a weekend warrior and only go with buddies, save the money and get a lite cargo trailer with some creature comforts.

As far as hanging out comfortably on either option- most of the time you will be outside under the awning sitting in a folding lawn chair. Spend $70 and get a zero gravity chair. Life will be good! You usually only go in the RV to sleep, or if it raining. I have some Big Joe beanbags in mine to watch TV on. Pretty comfy, but so is the sofa!

I went the cheap route and got one of those Fun Runner toyhaulers that seem to be pretty universal. It was a little 20' deal and it was all I ever needed. Slept 4, and I could stuff my wife's quad, 2-3 MX bikes, and all our gear into it. Even at 20' though, it was about all I'd want to pull behind a 1/2 ton. My Tundra loved it but I did have a Titan that wasn't so happy.

Im on my 2nd toy hauler now. I bought a cheap 2004 Campmaster 24' which is based off a cargo trailer to see if we liked it and used it enough. We did so I kept it a year and sold it for more than I paid for it.

I then started looking for another one. My biggest things in looking for another was a shower that I could stand up in (im 6'3), around 6000lbs empty and the biggest thing was have a separate garage and living space. So that all of my stuff could be inside and we could sleep without smelling gas and walking in dirt. I ended up finding a 2013 KZ MXT 302 that was a year old and used about 5 times and the guy was selling it because he bought an RV. He paid almost $30k for it and I got it for $15k. Loan value on it was still $21k. Its a great camper. I keep it parked under an 30x40 pole barn to keep it out of the weather. When its loaded down with the dirtbike, golf cart, generator and all the other shit you need for a weekend of racing I pull it with my 1998 dodge 2500 and it gets 13 mpg running 70-75.
Unloaded I pull it with my wives 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has the eco diesel engine. It get 13 mpg running 65-70. We pull it down to the beach and up to the mountains 5-6 times a year and stay at camp grounds and its way cheaper than hotels. I also use a WD hitch and have brake controllers in both vehicles.
