ahh that sounds pretty cool. Hopefully I can do an Android version at some point as well.
I just tried and said I had to wait for a position to open.
thank you for doing this
One thing i'd note with the GPS watch is that I can check the duration on screen relatively quickly/safely during a ride if i'm looking to do a certain length moto. Depending on how the smart phone was mounted this is possible but no way with the LITpro.
I had to slow the sign ups for a little bit, so I didn't add the latest set of testers right away. Everyone sees the message about waiting for a position, this is just to let the user know I might not be able to add them immediately due to the current server load.
I know there are a few big changes from 8.1 to 10, so if you did upgrade, it'll likely look much different. Also, if your using an iphone 5 or older, iOS 10 will likely make your phone run pretty slow.
As a general note for all, running a newer iphone will give you greater GPS accuracy.
I'm literally working on a final build for release to the AppStore right now. There are a number of beta testers using the app at the moment, you can still sign up for the beta at https://beta.racerone.mx/contact/beta however I expect to do a production release to the AppStore next week.

Stoked to check this thing out and give it a go.
If you can pull Garmin sess off onto this app (like strava) that be a dream. Awesome stuff!

You can import TCX files. Good to see fellow Kembla riders in here
The other alternative is to use an Apple Watch series 2. The watch app does not require the phone during your MX session, however the GPS accuracy isn't as good as the iPhone's.
I used to work in optical measurement systems for factory automation and it was all about linearity and repeatability. What do those numbers look like for an iPhone?
Assume you walk a distance of 5meters 10 times. Will the iPhone give you 10 measurements of exactly 5m or will it be some like 5.2, 5.1, 5.1 5.2 etc. ?
I use my iPhone for tracking my running and I run the same 10k loop each time but the distance recorded will always vary between 10 to 10.25 k.
In my case, recording laptimes and looking at time differences between laps on a 1second level would be completely pointless because the measurements are nowhere near accurate enough to be meaningful on that level.
During testing, all lap times appeared to be within a second of actual times. This level of lap time accuracy should be more than sufficient for the majority of MX riders. However, those riders who are on average within 10 seconds off Ryan Dungey, need to look at something more accurate.
Also, the resolution of the GPS radio is not as good as it could be in an iPhone, such as in a LITpro. This means your lines on the track map may not be exactly the lines you took, however this is not a problem for detecting lap times.
The app is more so for the common man. So they can figure out if they're getting better or not. This is why I created it, because I too had the same problem.
