A break problem is out of the riders control. Getting distracted in the gate because the rider next to you hit the gate is in the riders control. Two completely different scenarios... Plus Dunge has had bad starts two weeks in a row now, very unlike him. I guess maybe that does make Eli lucky that Dunge has been making more mistakes than usual. Big difference is Dunge can control his mistakes, Tomac couldn't have done anything about the brake issue. I assume thats what people mean when they say "lucky"

Tomac's brake problem wouldn't have happened if he didn't get too much front brake landing after the triple, eating shit, and damaging it. I don't buy the teams statement at all that "the brake was seizing before the crash". If that was the case, the speed Tomac was going he would have cartwheeled somewhere long before landing off the triple. They were just trying to save face and take the blame off Tomac.

My point, it's moto and shit happens! There's a lot of variables in every race.
You must not have ever had your front brake lock up. If youre leaned over at all and it locks up you lose the front end and it slides out. You dont cartwheel. Obviously he was leaned over in the air ready to make the turn and the bike slid out. Even if you are straight up in loose dirt on hardpack you usually just slide anyways if youre leaned back ready to brake hard.

They did not find anything wrong in the Tomac's front brake. Eli fucked up. Im fan of Eli, but racing is better when you dont make excuses for your rider. It also helps with your bet's when you are honest for yourself about your favourite riders.
I thought they found the rubber hood was getting caught in the lever? They even put a longer one on the next week right?

If there was nothing wrong with his brake then why did he pull off the track and have them cut the line? For fun? If he was just looking for an excuse to pull off and not race then idk why he went back on the track to salvage as many points as he could.

Man I heard it all now. If tomac wanted an excuse he wouldn't have went back onto the track. These guys put way too much into this to cut their front brake cable for fun and then go back out for show.

If you're front brake locks up you can-will endo depending on your positioning...causing said cartwheel effect. Been there and done that. My point is the brake got damaged in the crash. Leading up to it there were no signs of an issue and even launching off the triple was fine. He landed, and got too much front brake into the corner.

Pretty sure the Kawi brake thing was debunked on the Pulp show and they found nothing

Dungey is obviously very classy in the way he conducts himself on and off the track, in how seriously he takes his job and in how sporting he is in the way he rides other people. I don't think he likes to ride people like a douche (like Anderson for example). But he was being a total douche in the way he was trying to pass Cole and I got the impression that his frustration was in the way he had to be reckless going through the pack just for a 4th. But I have a feeling a couple points are going to matter quite a bit so you can't look back with regrets.

Wasn't it Seely who torpedoed Dungey just last week?

I really am turning into a Seely fan but he can't let those last lap passes happen. Even putting Dungey in the cheap seats isn't out of the question when it's last lap at Daytona. Quit moving out of peoples way and being a bitch Seely, you're better than that.

He moved over? From what I saw he was banging bars like he should. He didn't just let RD through without a fight.
