I've had this 2004 bike since early 2006, I bought it with less than 2 rides on it and then thrashed it for many years. Couple of years ago,I restored it. More recently , I moved back to California and I have been Trail riding I since my rmz450 was a bit of a beast......anyhow...

Took off the tall seat, and expensive Dep 144 pipe I got during a UK trip.

Found a regular seat on ebay, stock pipe and fmf sparky. Then I other the original suspension back on with stock spring rates.

Quite a big lad for 11, but a happy camper.

I was going to put the low comp head on I made when first doing the 144, but I figured if he can start it, he can ride it.

I think he'll be just fine on it Bruce, I was super small when I first hopped on a 125 and I always had to stop on a hill or by a rock.Laughing That looks like a great starting point for him, and I think the bigger wheels will help out a lot, hopefully I can see him ride it sometime soon.
