How much would it be to find a frame to conver an 04 kx125? I'd probably be better off getting a new 250f for better results as I'm no stank dog.

I think a 2T Kawasaki is out due to homologation rules. I didn't know what brand you have, so it was just a shot in the dark.

Its been too long now since they stopped making them. For that matter, Honda and Suzuki would be in the same boat. So, a frame change would be irrelevant for a KX. May be a different story with Yamaha and KTM.

I haven't raced in years, but still follow the local and national scenes fairly closely, and have been for quite some time. I will introduce myself the next time I see you racing locally, or if you want to shoot me a PM I would like to check out the track in Tiverton. I work in Fall River. I could be way off in my assessment, but historically that has not been the case. You're much better off with the confidence knowing that you're well prepared. Doubt and hesitation lead to crashes and injuries.
Come find me sometime if you see me at a local race.... if you know who I am I guess haha Pinch

I've seen you at plenty of races, local, AX, and SX. It would be great to see you at more of the local outdoor events, but it seems like you're pretty much dedicated to indoor style tracks, unless you're not Travis Delnicki. But then why would you use his initials and # in your screen name? Wink

You guys kill me. One NESC race (maybe), never seen a set of whoops, but you're ready for a pro touring INDOOR series. Grinning Brooks, Canning, Rando, etc.. have all struggled to get their Road to SX points, and they could probably complete three laps to your two. Sit back and see how your buddy Jeremy does and go from there.
I hate to say it but your career highlights/results are probably only going to get you a little bit of local shop/dealer help. Probably better to stay local and try to win at that level before trying to swim with the bigger fish in bigger pond's.

"The only way to get good is to go out and do it."

In my opinion, this is a bad idea. The riders in National AX series live and die in the whoops. If you are not really good at AX style whoops, do not go to the AX series expecting to get better at them. It will not happen. In 2015, as my son attempted to get his SX license, I watched the practice sessions at the first 3 weekends in horror at the riders who showed up completely unprepared for AX style whoops. Even some of the top amateur racers, including national champions, struggled in the whoops. It is harder than it looks. And it's much harder in traffic and as the track worsens.

Practice AX style whoops........a lot.

Thank you guys for the advice. I will take into consideration that I should train more and harder next year to prepare myself. Hopefully hit up sob ax or even have someone build one at the tiverton track at that caliper.

That's a great post from JAC, and very likely the same scenario will unfold this season. It's a big adjustment to get on these indoor tracks with huge jumps and whoops, fast paced sessions, guys crashing everywhere, awestruck competitors, screaming announcers, etc... Preparation is key. To go unprepared is a waste of time, money, and perhaps your good health.
When you establish yourself as somebody who can win in the pro classes at the local level, usually the support will follow and lessen the financial impact when the time is right to advance to the next level.

That sounds like a good plan for you guys. Travis has definitely been there so he can help you tremendously. He will know if, and when you are ready to race Arenacross at the top level. What's the address of the track in Tiverton? You can PM if it's sensitive info.
If you guys needed equipment or dirt I may be able to help out, depending on the timing and what you need. No dozers but possibly could could help w loaders, bobcat, dump trucks, excavation, etc. Once you have some plans drop me a message. Maybe get you guys a little support for the NESC spring series also.

691 Brayton rd tiverton RI. I have an Instagram page @mx691 I'm not sure how PM work on here. Think I sent you a Pm a few days ago. As far as equipment we have all of it and being in a quarry the land owner screens dirt on site for me. I talked Robby Marshall at ram tracks to come in sometime next year and build me a proper AX track. From there I can typically maintain it. If you're interested shoot me a message I'll give you my number.

As far as NESC spring I'd like to find some support if you know of any. I do everything out of pocket and will be doing the Canadian east coast round nationals come July.

Just saw your name on the entry list for MN. Are you planning on attempting all of the 250E races? I hope you're well prepared, and can grab one of the top nine spots in a qualifying race. Looks like a stacked field this week. Checking out your sponsors I see TLR, so you should have some good power. Don't see many guys running Golden tyres though. I hope they don't negate the benefits of the stout engine. Grinning I'm sure the Vital gang all want to see you put it in the show, so don't let us down. Grinning Grinning

Golden tyre > Dunlop. My opinion. Just an Update I got sign to a small Canadian national team. Red plate moto academy/ fxr racing. Hopefully I can take this and open up some doors into my racing and improve overall.

It took some major balls to get on the most judgmental forums out there and ask for a ride man. I hope it all works out for you in the Great White North. At least you're in A class. One guy was on here a while back, had only been riding for a few months or something like that and asked if he should pursue an AX career. Now that's a little wild if you ask me. Good Luck Man

Thanks man. Hope to make the best of this deal. Made this post with the mindset that I was looking for one thing and knew I'd get some shit. Don't really care what the negative Nancy's have to say unless they provide constructive guidance.

So I went to the first 5 AX races. No I did not qualify. First rd. 70th, 2nd rd. 68th, 3rd and 4th rd. did not even look, But the fifth round was a different story. I did both classes. I went out for the first 3 practices, and I was running about 50th/45th. I went out for my last lites practice. I knew I had to just get through the whoops. I felt good on the bike and I felt like I set some heaters. Checkered flag comes out. I look at the time board, and my name was not on the board from last to 25th. I thought maybe my transponder died or something... I waited to see the 1st to 24th place, and I was more than pumped!!! I was sitting in 17th! I made the night show!! I get back to the pits, get on my phone to check live timing. By the time I got on my phone, I was sitting in 21st. After the last practice I was bumped to 35th, I was then bumped to 41st. No night show.
I would say AX was very hard. But I figured I could make it within the next few weeks. (I was riding a BONESTOCK 250f, I felt good on it though!) I unfortunately broke my thumb practicing at Dirtbike Mikes facility. I am done racing arena cross this season, but will be mastering it in 2018!
