Yamaha Of Troy YZ 250

I've always wanted a YZ 250 for the longest time and finally find the perfect bike. A 2011 that only had 4 hours on it. Previous owner bought it brand new and obviously didn't ride it much since his kid was born right around that time. I bought the bike from him in September of 2013. Fell in love with it the moment I rode it. Upgrading from a 2003 RM 125 this bike was a rocket ship! Growing up in Ohio and always going to the national at Kenworthys the Yamaha Of Troy bikes were my favorite since they were local and just looked badass. So I decided to make my bike look like what I picture the YOT bikes to look like if they were stil a team today. Here is some pictures along the way. I didn't go super into detail like others have on here. I have too many other things that take up my money! Lol. Anyways here we go.
Just unloaed out of the truck!

With my old RM 125

Stripped the plastic off to bring inside for decal insatll. Also added a FMF Titanium 2 silencer and Works Connection skid plate. Winter 2013.

Got my graphics from N-Style. Added a FMF Fatty, Torc1 Racing shifter & brake pedal. At this moment I thought it was "complete". Yeah we always say that... Winter 2014.

Next winter I tore her down to have the suspension redone. Back to the stock pipe...Fatty was damaged in a crash that left me with a bruised hip, concussion and a broken collarbone that required two surgeries. Thats the second time thats happened to me Sad March 2015

Noleen J6 Suspension came through with the revalve work, along with a new rear sprocket, updated front fender and finally added the gripper seat cover that came with my graphics kit. May 2015.

Changed numbers. Wasnt a fan of Dean Wilson so I wanted something different. Ive had #15 ever since I was 4 on my pw50 days. #513 came from my fiancee's birthday. (May 13th).
June 2015.

Next on the list was to get another pipe for it. Ive always loved the Factory Fatty look and decided to pull the trigger on one. Also had the stock Excel rims powder coated black and bought some Tusk Impact hubs. October 2015.

What a difference it made! Oct 2015.

Dont even remember what I was working on (Thanks Jack!) but sometimes you gotta kickback and admire your machines! November 2015.

Had to grab a picture with my buddies 2006 I redid. Bike was a mess, extremely dirty and neglected. I think it turned out pretty nice after a good weeks work. July 2016

Lots happened over the summer/fall of 2016. Bought my first house in July, and then got married October 22!

Added a black N-Style gripper seat with 4 blue ribs, re-styled rear fender and a Galfer 270mm rotor kit

That should get the job done!

Had another idea for that "factory look"....

Little bit of WD40 and a scotch brite pad to do some cleaning

Cleaned up boot marks and other parts of the frame that needed cleaned

Looks alot better. I didnt go all out on the cleaning

A buddy of mine at work told me his father in law does hydro dipping. That got the ball rolling. Had my ignition cover and brake caliper guard done along with my FAST 102mm intake manifold off my GTO. Turned out great!

Caliper guard on

Ignition cover back on

While I was at it a riding buddy of mine started doing some powder coating in his garage for fun and did a set of triple clamps, hubs and clutch cover for his brothers bike. They turned out awesome and had him do my triple clamps. The stock clamps work fine for me as Im just a weekend warrior. Chrome base with a transparent candy blue on top.

Clamps mounted on the bike. Im starting to get excited now!

This is how she currently sits. Still need a few small things like a new chain, rear fender graphic and new tires need to be mounted. Pretty happy with it so far. I didnt go all out like others have here but Ive still got some ideas flaoting around in my head.

Sick, did you have to remove the stem from the clamps to have them powdercoated?

Thanks. Yeah my buddy had the stem pressed out and I tossed in new bearings & races while I was at it. Yamaha doesnt put much grease on them from the factory. They were ready to be changed.

Thanks man. Its a custom grind Comp Cam that Proxses Tuning in Dayton, Ohio set up for me. 234/238 duration, 612/615 lift on a 114 LSA. Car is a 6sp manual with the cam, FAST intake, 102mm throttle body, 42# injectors, Kooks headers & catless mids with a Corsa Sport catback. Lowered 1/2" in the front and 3/4" in the rear. Last time on the dyno she put down a healthy 451rwhp/433rwtq. Its a damn fun car!

Thanks. Yes last summer/fall was a busy busy time. Somehow I've managed to get it all done. Got started on finishing my garage, and did a ton of yard work while I was at it and added a second dog to the mix. Oh the joys of owning a house! Lol
Leveled out the high spot on one side, filled in the low spots on the other. Dug trenches for tile and put in a new drive way

I was actually happy winter came as it's gave me a chance to catch my breath.

Anyways. Here some pictures of my GTO since you've requested
She even helps me clean it

Most recent picture of the engine bay after I got the intake back on. Excuse all the fingerprints/smudge marks everywhere. I took the pic as soon as I was done

A little 1-2-3 gear burnout fun back in front of the parents house lol
