MXA is twisting it like the food poisoning thing is just a cover up. That would be pretty fucked up if they, as a supposedly well respected unbiased media outlet, were making rumors up so it might be true.

A couple years ago they said that R.C was racing the MXDN when he was in fact not, and they have continuously made up false rumors about J-law as well.

BFD. He brings this shit on himself. If he was out there actually racing and kicking ass, it's not an issue. He brings attention to himself and this is what happens.

I keep hoping the dude will get it together but sometimes you have to wonder if it will ever happen. I don't think it will get any better on the east coast 450 swing. He's a traveling circus.

I mentioned this last night in the DMXS chat and figured I would pull the pin here too.

My questions are these;

Assuming for the sake of arguement that he does have food poisoning which I know from experience sucks....how does that happen?
When I got sick it was from bad truck stop breakfast I had after being out at a club till 3am

If you are a pro athelete in the middle of your season aren't you being careful about what you stuff in your throat hole?

Do you think that this food poisoning is a result of his no longer working with Ryno?
I mean Hughes is known for being careful about food to the point of obsession.

This is not a slam on Jason....I would ask the some of the same questions about any pro rider that came down with food poisoning during the season.

I too was a bit sceptic when I heard this, and as a consequence it would be interesting to hear more about the rumored food poisoning? If that's the issue, which for sure not any sensation I'm sure he could be gone for some days depending on the origin of the pathogen. Some of these intestinal infections can last up to weeks!

Is the discussion about him not being sick at all? Or do people question if its food poisoning?

I see this as a kid taking a burger at the wrong place. Probably wont happen again. Maybe this is the consequence of him not being under any factory tent with some RogerD watching over him. If it was unclear before, by now its pretty obvious he needs go be guided. Smile

if what guyb said is correct about drug tests being taken last nite maybe he was fearful if he raced he would be targeted and decided to take a week off to clean out the tubes.

There was never any doubt that Lawrence's absence was going to be "interpreted" as being related to something other than food poisoning. His own off-track behavior brought that on him - just sayin'.

To me, the interesting part of the MXA piece was Lawrence getting in a fight in the pits. Some guys never learn.

He started to feel bad on Thursday and it hit him on Saturday? I can understand if that was the flue? From what I know of food poisoning, it hits you 3-6 hours after you have eaten the tainted food and your sick (heaving sick) until it is purged and out of your system? Ive never heard of a 3 day build up to food poisoning unless the food was rotting while in his system?

Some of you guys are clueless. I'm not a JLaw fan at all, but anyone can get food poisoning from anywhere. It can be from a cheap burger joint, a fine dining restaurant or from fresh produce you bought yourself from an all organic market. No difference.
