Replacing throttle cable

I'm currently replacing the throttle cable on my 2013 crf450r. I will be honest and say I've never done this before. Do I just follow the wires all the way down to the throttle body and the take the cover off and replace with the new cables? Is there anything I should be aware of to prevent damage to any other parts?

I'm not sure on your Honda but with our ktm it was pretty easy and self explanatory and no problems at all

Cool thanks, I "misplaced" (lost) the owners manual like a dummy so I had nothing to go off of. Figured it had to be similar to a carb.

What I did was run the replacement cable down alongside the current one and then once in place pull the old one back out.

Thanks for the info! I will definitely be trying that out! I have to pull the shock out to replace the spring so I figured I would just do the cables while I had access to the throttle body.
