Have a chance to buy a brand new set of wheels with everything on it for a good price off a 2016 YZ250F. I would like to put it on a 2014 YZ125 I know the front wheel will not swap. Does anyone know what is required to make the front wheel work, Is it just bearings? I saw the hub itself is a different part number. Looking to see if anyone had any experience with this. Thanks!

Not sure but when I purchased a tusk wheel set it came with two sets of spacers, one for the two strokes and one for the four strokes. So maybe it's just the spacers that are different?

I woundnt bother, bearings in the new YZ's have no seals , are a special size , and last 5 minutes compared to proper bearings.

Front will not fit, 22mm on the YZF vs the 20mm on the YZ. Best case scenario you could make a sleeve to scale down the bearing size. You could do the same for the rear but it would be a hassle.

If money and time were of little concern, bore the front axel clamps out 2mm and buy a 22mm axle... or source newer style forks. I have complete new disassembled outers off a 15 YZF (stole the cartridges). PM if interested. I would also source a YZF swingarm (09-13 YZF) that has the 25mm axle. Youll need the brake carrier, axle blocks, axle and nut too. You'll drop 2lbs off the bike in the process. All in all it might be cheaper to sell them and buy the right wheels set...
