BELL MX9 helmet size

Hello,
I would like to order a 2017 BELL MX9 helmet, however I heard many times that they are sized smaller. For expemle, if usually I take L size, with BELL I must choose XL size.

Are you agree with this? what are your experiences?

You're brave buying a helmet without trying it on. I've never owned a bell but tried a moto9 recently, sizing seemed ok but it didn't fit my head. I found it sat really high on my forehead, I have the same problem with fox helmets.

I have a Bell MX-9 helmet, and a SX-1 helmet. The MX-9 is true to size. I've been wearing XL helmets forever, and that's what size my MX-9 is. Fits perfectly. The SX-1 helmet is a little different. It's also a XL, and it fits me, but it's noticeably smaller, and has to be on my head for a few minutes before it's really comfortable.
