I am new to the 4 stroke game. I changed my oil on my new KTM 450 and noticed a bit of dampness coming out around the filter cap when I got in from riding yesterday. I lugged it down pretty good but I didn't use my torq wrench. Should I be torqing these bolts down?

It's always a good idea to torque down any bolts going into aluminum because of how easy they are to strip out

But you might want to take the oil filter back out and check if there is any debris on the sealing surfaces or if the o-ring got damaged (if it has an o ring)

Side note, most torque wrenches arent accurate in the lower ~20% of their range, so a standard 20-100 ft lbs torque wrench isnt good for small bolts that need like 7 ft lbs

+1- get a small torque wrench. easy to over torque.
does that filter cap have little o rings for each bolt or one big one?
seen 1 little one fall out. if its one big one .dirt or twisted, nicked etc.
