Any tracks open during the week? Will be heading towards the dfw area next week from Kansas and was hoping to get some riding in on some decent dirt.

If you happen to come through the Texas Panhandle there are a few spots in/around Amarillo and Childress.

In Amarillo Bowers mx has practice on Wednesdays. Make sure you call as they are hit or miss. Other than that don't even stop. Unless it's for Tyler's or dyers bbq.

The compound MX in Weatherford, it's open almost every day. It's members only, but they are allowing non-members to check it out until all the spots fill up.

Village does Tuesday's when it's warmer, this time of year its weekends only. $25

Oak hill is open nearly every weekend and Wednesday. $25 for a very well prepped sandy track.

Compound MX does monthly memberships for $89/month for 4 rides, or one time visit for $40. The track will always be groomed.

His 956 facility is the Masterpool's track, they have acres of different sections, and everyday they are open they prep a new section of track. It will get far more rough and rutted than the others. $30 for the day. They also have cabins and RV hookups if you are looking to stay a few days.

River Valley is open typically every weekend and occasionally Thursday or Friday. Practice is usually $25

I would avoid Shady Grove like the plague. I don't think that place has seen equipment in 15 years.

If you want to rip some sandy trails closer to downtown there's trophy club. The mx track isn't worth mentioning, other than to watch dudes in overalls on yz426's do butt whips and cross ups. The trails are fun though, sand whoops for the majority of it.
