Al Qaeda threat?

Edited Date/Time 11/6/2016 2:06am
We got this on the news last night that they are planning a attack on election day in 3 states, New York, Virginia and Texas.
How serious is this? And do you take precautions yourself or is it something you try to let the government deal with it?

I really hope this is not true and all off you guys will be ok.

The problem with fighting an ideology it doesn't need to cross borders with people, the internet is a much more useful tool. As Kongols said, the world we live in.

Shit makes me edgy. My office is literally two blocks from the White House. I feel like I am sitting on a bullseye.
I am looking to get out. It's not if, it's when and how bad is my thinking.
Within the past month or so, two different dudes have walked down the street in DC, randomly shooting. They didn't hit anybody.DC/Baltimore is getting crazier and crazier.

Arming rebels has a way of coming back and biting you. Like we discovered when we hired Bin Laden to assemble an army and fight the Russians in Afghanistan in the 80s. I have a feeling the same thing is happening now.

There's militia folks round here talking about a civil war, and guarding polling stations. I'm more likely to have to shoot one of these fuckers than a goat fucker.

Sorry, I meant they've been talking about being at the polling stations. I haven't voted yet so idk if they've been out there. I don't drive through downtown often.

And the news has somewhat covered it.

Shouldn't you be down at fort Latvia greasing up the trevbuchets or at the river picking up slicks to fling at the red steamroller.

Mooching wifi in the apartment over Starbucks talking US politics seems pretty cowardly.

Haha, we don`t have Starbucks here yet. I don`t have to mooch wifi. My 500 mbps internet together with cable TV costs 22 bucks a month. Sweet deal, eh?
