Little back story. I came off a yz125 with a basic Rg3 re-valve. Rode my buddies and loved it so I had them do his setup on mine. Anyways, we all know the Yami SSS stuff is really good stock.

So I decided to buy a 2015 Husky Tc125. I got a killer deal and I've never had a new bike, so I said what the heck, I'll get one!

The forks on the bike were scary bad.
Super harsh. Mid stroke would hydro-lock and then blow through and bottom BAD. Any square edge chop or braking bumps it would throw you over it was so atrocious. If you even thought of ocerjumping and flat landing the forks were so harsh your wrists would literally hurt for days after. They workes a lot better once I backed out the rebound a lot. But still not acceptable.

After only 3 hours on the bike I started calling and started doing a ton of research on who to send them to.
I called many big name suspension places and was disappointed with cost and not feeling confident that they could fix them and make them work.
I then started thinking about converting them to SSS kyb cartridges. I found a guy, Corey at ProTune and gave him a call.

After talking with him for five minutes he convinced me he could have my 4cs up to par and work as good as the re-valve Sss stuff I was used to for a fraction of the cost.

I then packaged the forks up and sent them away with a DETAILED list of what I wanted out of them, how I ride, my ability (or lack of), my weight and what types of tracks I ride.
He was very quick to turn around too. My buddy was coming down for a moto trip and he had them back from Ohio to Cali in 2 weeks.

First Impressions were a 7/10 fork. It was a 4/10 before the work. So keep that in mind and keep reading! I rode two sand tracks. Cahuilla and LACR. They felt good, initially plush and they seemed to soak up the chop well, which was my biggest complaint other than no bottoming resistance. The reason that they didn't perform as well as I expected was due to a sag issue I didn't know about at the time on the REAR. For whatever reason it was at 126mm when I checked it. Reset it to 105 and tried the forks again.

I put about 6 hours on them on hard pack (the real test). 5mm in the triples. Settings as they were from Corey. Rear shock stock settings. 108mm sag.

They were good. Really good. All I have changed so far is went two clicks softer on the compression on the fork. It had a slight harshness on square edges and if I overjumped (as expected) but after the change I haven't felt that once!! They are a TAD stiff initially in the stroke over braking bumps but that is my fault for not going fast enough (had them valved for a B rider when I'm really a C rider). I feel a lot more confident overall now and the bike is a lot more predictable.

I recommend Corey at ProTune for any 4cs work. Especially since he made them work so well for all the tracks I ride! He concerts the forks to have rebound on the top of botb forks and a co.pression adjustment on the bottom of the brake side fork. More adjustment is good to me. I like tuning and tweaking.

These forks went from a 4/10 to a dare I say 8.5/10. I also rate my Yamaha rg3 stuff at 8.5/10. I'm a tough critic and know what I like and why. I also had 70 hours of testing and tweaking on the Yamaha. I'm sure these will get better once I have more time on them and do more tuning.

It was half the cost of every big name I called. The smaller local names were about the same.

Corey does top shelf work. He's been having excellent results with the 4cs, and not adding all the aftermarket parts to drive the cost up as some shops do. Solid guy, and he built my vacuum shock bleeder which also works perfectly.

After talking with him and seeing his reviews it was a no brainer for me. It's hard for me to ship because I live near like 10 big name suspension places. But glad I did!
