It will be a big stinking dud, but Giuseppe will claim it as a success.

There you can look how many empty seats they have. Still a lot of free space. But they selled more than thought. I thought it would be a desaster and next year we wouldnt see this race anymore...
Still dont get it, why the manufactures agreed with this race. Wont be there, but will watch it.
Nevertheless a complete unnecessary event!

This is the online ticket sale where you can buy tickets and choose your seat. You see what blocks are sold out and you can also click on the other ones and see how many are still free in this block! Its not exat but a reference point.

Pretty good pre sales! Only a hundred seats left for lower sections.

I'm assuming Just like in the states there are other ticket sellers (dealerships, stadium box office, etc.) that have those tickets still for sale, but they are not available through the main online ticket broker to avoid double selling the same seat.

A lot of times A1 will look sold out on ticketmaster but you can still find plenty of tickets at Yamaha dealerships or at the stadium box office.

I'm not talking about focus. I'm talking about risk when trying to make a pass. No one is going to take the risk to injure themselves and destroy their prep for the next season.

Are there any bonuses? Has anyone even read something about that? Maybe by the manufacturers, but don't get your hopes up. I doubt that there are Japanese who have difficulties to sleep at night wondering if their brand will do good at this so called "race of the century".

Face it, MX will remain a small sport seen worldwide in the eyes of the manufacturers.

And it's not a race. It's a show.
Some decent prize money on the line. It may not be enourmous in terms of the salaries these guys earn, but it's still an incentive. Plus I'm sure there will be a bonus from the manufacturer if they win.

I'm at Mettet for the Superbiker right now, planning to drive over to Schalke tomorrow to watch the race, it's only about a 3 hour drive. I don't see any reason why it can't be as popular as Lille for example. Some great riders there and it should be a fun event

I think this race is pretty important for manufacturers and they would like their riders to represent well!

Most likely Dungey and Musquin doesn't need to give 100% and they could still be pretty competitive.

Wondering what kind of factory bonuses are on the line? I would assume that at least same than regular SX race.

So then winner would get 50.000 from Youthstream and 100.000 from manufacturer, so it's pretty decent payday.

And even if Dungey and Musquin wouldn't be so interested in that, there is plenty of others willing to give 100% and more for that kind of reward.

It's a little bit different story compered for example to MXoN where people go to ride for free. And even there most people are willing to give their all and more...
The manufacturers just want them to get through the race without an injury.

Right?! I don't care how many people showed up at the stadium or if YS lost money, it's still another event to watch some heavy hitters race each other. Herlings, Dungey, Gajser, Musquin, Fevbre, etc...it's not very often they're on the same gate and that's exciting!

The reason events like this (and redbull straight rhythm monster cup etc) are frustrating to some is that it adds another race to the schedule. Riders, in particular those who compete in the USA already have 17 SX's, 12 MX's, Redbull straight rhythm, monster cup and some us GP's. Then when MXDN rolls around they are burnt out or injured and have to make a tough decision on whether or not to go. It is just a shame that riders like Roczen, Dungey and Tomac have skipped MXDN and at the very least races like this contribute to that decision.
