There are 19 other guys on the starting line that wish they have his problems. Since your talking Supercross not MotoCross would he still have issues? And if he doesn't race any Outdoor Nationals would he want to race the MXDN?

I agree, sorta. If he doesnt race at least 1/2 the outdoors and maybe a GP (as rumored) then he shouldnt get an invite IMO.

He is racing outdoors....maybe not all of them but he will be racing so the magic number is he has to race 6 of the 12? I guess I see your point but even if he races none of them he could still show up and spank everyone which makes him a good candidate for the MDXN team, Reed did it last year w/o racing any outdoors for AUS

I am pretty sure that they can work the bugs out by the time MXDN rolls around. Even if he doesn't race any outdoors he can still go and beat 95% of the field.

Virtually no one (from the US) would bitch if RC said he'd like to suit up for the 09 MXDN, even if he'd turned zero laps in during the 09 outdoor season. If James is the best man available to represent the USA, then he should go.

Besides, since the MXDN is little more than a brag-fest for most of the "online racers", what could be better bench racing fodder than having a part-time racer go out and spank the rest of the world?

I don't think any country should send a rider who turned their back on the fans of motocross. Sorry Chad and James but you are just filler material to get us through winter until motoross starts.
