Why 2005+ CR250s are selling for $5-8000AUD
They aren't the last two stroke or even the last Japanese two stroke, they basically lost the shoot out in 2007 with it being popular opinion the RM and the YZ being ahead of the game. They do have a good history, but so does the rest of the makes. Can someone explain this. I know it's not necessarily old school moto but their is a wealth of knowledge around here and I think you guys could help me see the light

Build quality. The bike can be made to be the best performer. Then it will last 2-3'times as long as the other brands.
Maybe I should shop some of these around and sell them down under.

Sorry if it reads as my being a Smart arse, but it is simply Supply and Demand. It's the last Generation of a Honda Two Stroke 250, and there'll never be more of them.

Yeah it's just you can get last gen Kawasaki's and Suzuki's for far less. Normally about 3000AUD so it's just confusing. there's a horrible looking cr250 2007 on facebook advertised for 3 grand and there are people telling him to its worth 7 grand and the thing looks like shit. I guess the cr250 has a great history but god I know I could never justify that type of money

Ps, giving engine ice a run for the first time today. Keen to run some good stuff in the bike.

I have an 05 and 07 CR250. They are great bikes after some simply engine work. The chassis is already excellent.

People have finally figured out that they really are great bikes. Unfortunately, Honda didn't make very many of them, so the demand is higher than the supply.
