After paying way too much money on beer at Thunder Valley in 2010 on Saturday, we bought 8 cases of Bud Light and sold the cans for $4.00 each to our spectating neighbors to offer a cheaper price. Not only did we pay for our beer but we used the rest to gamble at the isle casino that was up in the mountains sunday night and monday.

2007 Budds Creek
I went with my girlfriend at the time (now wife) and had a great time. We actually spent a couple days in DC first touring all kinds of stuff. Then drove down for the race. She had no clue what she was witnessing with Villipoto and the way he dominated. I can remember the very first race when they all took off...I couldn't see the start, but I could hear some guy at the top of the hill shouting out "Villipoto just holeshot on a 250!!!". Then about 10 seconds later he jumped off the ski-jump about 50' further than anyone else. It was unbelievable how fast he was going.

Before the racing though, we were there for some of the practicing and qualifiers. Some guy from a country that doesn't matter crashed and couldn't get his bike started (he must have kicked it 100 times). So he sat there for about 15 minutes waiting for the last rider to ride by at the end of the race. Then before pushing the bike he tried one last time to start it and it fired up. I couldn't believe how loud the crowd was in our area cheering him on to at least finish his last lap. I was proud of my fellow american fans for cheering on some random european guy just to finish a qualifier in dead last.

Been to the 2007, 08, 09, 11, 12, 13 (and right now to the 2016) MXdNs.

Best year for me was 2012 when Germany won the trophy for the first time.
Been also to Cairolis party that year on sunday after the race. A lot of fast guys were there partying and drinking (Cairoli, Roczen, DeDyker, Paulin, Nagl and a lot more). As you can imagine these guys are not used to drink alcohol, and so there happened some funny stuff. Goooood memories!

2012 lommel for me. Absolutely mental in the beer tent and campsite. Pit bike track was a good laugh even better in the dark. Maddest weekend I've ever had at motocross.not a place I'd take wife or kids though. Big Ken was in the beer tent on the Saturday night as well

'02 World Cup of MX at Glen Helen
I had tickets for the MXoN at Comp Park, but went to the replacement. What a bummer.

'06 Matterly Basin
Roomed with Rup.

Watching Everts was awesome.

I was waiting in the lobby for ride to the airport after working all night on photos. After dozing off, I awoke to find that I'd been covered in cocktail napkins. I think Paul Lindsey was the guilty party.

'07 Budds Creek
The press tent had nothing but Red Bull inside, and it was hot, so I pounded about three cans after each moto. That was the race that cured me of energy drinks.

'08 Donington Park
That was the year I finally got to tour around London. I'd been to the airport tons of times, but had never made it downtown.

'10 Thunder Valley
Always fun cheering for the home crowd on home turf. Looking forward to Glen Helen in '17.

Me, you and Steve Cox tried to get into Stonehenge at night. Very dark night. Good times.

"Sorry folks, Stonehenge is closed. Moose out front should have told you."

Never been to one, but it was really cool wandering into the Whip It! hotline room with a fresh cup of java and finding a handwritten fax from Duke Finch in 96(? can't remember) with two words about 4 inches tall::

WE WON!

Both awesome, seemed like budds have a better vibe. Imo. I love going to these events.

Unadilla 1987 was interesting, went through every mud tire we brought. Took a week to get all the mud out from the truck. Most fun for me was 1988 Villars Ecot(?) in France, Lechien ran away on the 500, so far ahead he started to play dirt tracker in some of the corners to keep himself amused. The look on the faces of the "Eastern Bloc" riders when we gave them handlebars if they would just put the crossbar pad on the right way. A resilient and suddenly happy bunch they were. Came to the event in a variety of worn out sedan's with trailers. Slept in tents at the track. Did not have spares for the bikes but did have vodka. Lots of vodka.

I have been three times in MXON and the last one was the most special one as we had our team rider racing there. This year I'm doing commentary for Eurosport so pressure is on
