Big win by Wawrinka! No one saw it coming. He beat Djokovic 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, 6-3. Awesome match!

Absolutely incredible when you can outplay the Joker. I thought for sure Novak would have more legs in him than Stan but when he started cramping, it was all over. It was still incredible the way he was able to win points even suffering through the cramps though.

Yep. No one expected Stan to get past Dan Evans, or Delpo, or Nishikori. lol

When the stanimal is on, no one can go toe to toe with him. Lethal forehand, backhand and serve.

I watched most of it. We attended about 10 years ago. Talk about a sport for the rich to be a fan and very tough try to compete at the top level as a player.

His serve was pretty powerful, but not quite as powerful as Djokovic's. It's his placement of the serve that was impressive. And when the rally carried on past about 6 volleys, Stan would really start cutting the ball wide and making Novak run for it. It just wore him out. He just kept the ball coming back over the net a lot too. There were several points where Novak was trying to play the net and Stan popped the ball up beautifully over his head or drove it down the line out of Novak's reach.

Incredible.

I hadn't seen Nishikori play before and he looked really good against Murray.

Great match. Power tennis at its best.

Nice to see a one-handed backhand still compete at the very top. Not many are left in the game. Wawrinka has one of the best.

Also nice to see him getting these big wins at the age of 31 when you'd think he would be sliding down the ladder.

Wawrinka is the only guy currently who can break Djokovic, physically and mentally. Wawrinka's best is better than anyone else's best. He's only a Wimbledon away from the Career Slam.

I learned the one hand backhand. Two hands feels really awkward. . . I'm not at the top though. Lol. But it feels really good to be able to put front spin on the backhand. Hell, I'm probably better on the backhand than the front hand at this point.

I just looked to see how old the Joker is. He's only 29. Damn he's younger than me. Andy Murray is 29 also. I had those guys pegged for mid 30s. I guess that's why they consider Federer old. He's 35. Lol.

With the game going to power thru the racket technology two hands is an advantage. I'm still using a one-hander but I can see how a heavy server forces you into a defensive chip or block back on the return whereas the two-handers don't need as much time to go offensive off of a big serve.

I learned watching Vilas and Clerc and copied their topspin backhands but the game has def gone to the two-hander.

Still love to watch Wawrinka, Kfed, Gasquet ... unload with the one-hander.
