So I went and picked up a 16' Kawi 450 today. Not the brand new one I had put money down on ( long story ) , but walked out of the shop today with one that has 2.8 hours on it. Pro circuit has already modified the ECU and have the suspension already done from Factory connection. Come to find out , the guy who was riding it does testing for FC , in which I called and it seems this bike has the whole works done to the suspenders. I guess the ECU gets re-worked because of back firing issues the stock 16's have ( which I didn't know? ). Also has a brand new set of bridgestones on it ( not the standard Dunlop's ).

First ride will be on Saturday. Real curious on how that suspension is going to work. The test rider said that he has the bike pretty dialed and feeling very balanced. And possibly the forks have something in them that were being tested before the production run , and said it helped....I just don't know what it is just yet. So that saved me another $800.00 on top of what the owner of Hillsboro motosports knocked off because I couldn't get my brand new 16'. They basically did everything to it I was going to do , and then knocked more money off because it has 2.8 hrs on it. Pretty stoked right now!

Anyways , thought I'd share. Looking forward to throwing a leg over a 450 again.

For sure brother! Been 1.5yrs since I've been on one ( or close to that ). She seems comfortable , and besides the suspension stuff , I may play around with bar settings and foot pegs....not sure yet. I think I'll be going to the 1-1/8th" bars sooner or later too. Kinda stoked right now with having the suspension done ( I won't have to pay for any more work ) and having the ECU all re-done too....saved me some more coin.

Cool deal. Basically new at a killer price I'm sure. Hopefully that eased the pain of it not being a virgin. Look forward to the ride report.

Congrats Jeff, awesome looking bike! Everything happens for a reason, looks like you came out ahead even though the other bike fell through. Can't wait to hear how it rides, I'm sure you'll love it almost as much as the one that sounds like a chain saw.Cool

Oh Josh....that bike of mine that sounds like a pissed off chainsaw will never get replaced! Still have her and plan on keeping her. She's actually going to get a new top end and a bunch of other fresh parts put on her as soon as I get the time. Love my RM!

Spoke with your wallet?? Umm, impossible as you have 2 too many strokes. Speaking with your wallet only applies to new 2-strokes. Nice bike though.

Thanks guys! Can't wait till tomorrow.

@Billy....Motosports lent Jay Whipple the bike for a couple weeks. He needed a bike for a class he was teaching down here , and while he was doing that , FC had him do some testing for them. He's been doing testing for FC for a long time. After the school and testing he gave the bike back to Scott. I called Jay yesterday and talked to him for a bit about the bike. I mainly just wanted to see what he had done to the suspension and what pro circuit did to the ECU ( or whatever it is the re-map ). So it ended up being a great deal for me. Fixed ECU , the suspension is already done and then he knocked the price down even further because it's considered used. Sheeesh....I couldn't hardly tell it had been ridden.
