Can Febvre beat Gasjer next year? I don't wanna hear about Herlings. We know he'll win, don't we.
But Romain and Tim had a few moments but didn't really face off did they? AC and Tim seemed to have some good races.
What does Febvre have to do? Good to watch the both of them, hope it is a long standing rivalry, GPs could be entering a little bit of a golden era hopefully... if they battle Herlings and the 250s should be a battle now he's out.

Herlings might still have a mental edge over Gajser and Febvre since their days in MX2, but they are different riders today compared to then. The first couple of races will determine the order between those three. Like Andy stated above it's always easy when everything is clicking.
2016 it stopped clicking for Febvre at Matterley, can he turn it on again? Riders rarely have perfect seasons one after another in such a dangerous sport. If Gajser can keep out of trouble I think he and Herlings will run a pace too high for the rest. They are all technically gifted but they are in a league of their own.
I hope Desalle and Nagl can keep up with them but I don't believe they will on regular basis.
My guess is Gajser/Herlings 10 sec drop Febvre/Cairoli 10 sec drop Desalle/Nagl.
I think he can match it but no doubt Gasjer was spooky, I didn't think he'd make the season riding like he does sometimes.
I really hope it's the start of a classic era, GPs have been a little fucked for a while in both classes with Herlings and AC.

With Herlings thrown into the mix, Desalle who can hopefully start and end the season unharmed, Nagl who can win on any day, Anstie and Tonkov coming over to mingle into the top ten, Tixier and Guillod who have a year experience in MXGP, Van Horebeek, Bobryshev, Paulin and Coldenhoff who can fight for wins/podia on good days, Simpson who can be a podium contender in the sand,... 2017 could be a hell of a season.
Oh, and I hope Cairoli can shine one last time.
Found it, this is the moto I was thinking off, Gajser held off febvre for the moto win by .6 of a second

Let's hope they battle each other more in the future
Can't ever count febvre out imo!!!
My question is who is going to win MX2? That class seems low on a clear-cut winner. Seewer was good, Anstie when he felt like it, but no one consistently showed championship material? Does Prado have the chops to step up? I don't see any of the current American kids there putting a c-ship together either.
They are both very fast of course, but they also crash (or tip over) a lot. If you look back, there weren't that many races where either of them didn't have a small crash or tip over.
Gajser looks so fast but also so out of control at times. If Febvre can stay consistent next year I think he may have an edge over Gajser.
Pit Row
Firstly they all need a good winter.
Then:
Gajser needs to stay off the ground (I think he will, being more experienced)
Febvre needs starts (Yami has some homework)
Cairoli needs 0.3 a lap (with KTM it is possible to find it)
Herlings needs to keep his cool
TBH Herlings and Gajser should dominate, but it could be a hell of a battle.
Personally I think Herlings will be too much for them but Tonkov will be the surprise rider of 2017 and will be mixing it with AC,Nagl,Paulin,Bobby,Van Holbeck, Desalle etc
