Fast, but not AMA national fast. Seriously? Have you goons not seen how fast and aggressive an AMA national is? Have you even seen her ride in real life?

For you guys that have not seen Ashley ride in person, do not sell her short! She raced the last 3 rounds of the WMA last year with a broken wrist! On any given day with the right conditions and timed qualifying it is a realistic goal for her to be 40th fasted. Don't forget the goal is just to qualify not top 10 or top 5. There are two girls that could have a chance with the right conditions. Ashley and Geiger,

This is great for Ashley.... Not so great for alot of her competition. I know there was at least 1 top 5 girl last year that was riding a completely stock bike.

Well, I for one, think she can qualify for a National. I don't feel she is ready to run top ten (250) but if any woman can do it, she can.

Also, I feel Tatum Sik, will be her competition this year. This year Tatum, has TP199, behind her, as well as Jeff Cernics racing. Tatum, has been buffin' up for the cause, working out, and riding nearly everyday. If Tatum can stay off the turf, she'll be up front with Ashley.

Not taking anything away from Ben, Ivan, or Davi, but I only see one #1 plate here:

Is there some new rule that the WMA get a free pass to try and quailify? I don't think she has ran or won any A class races against the guys. I really like womens racing but it is just that womens racing.

I think she has, but in 2007, not 2008

She said...Her main reason for racing is to compete in the future, against the men.

Admirable goals, but I would bet $100 no woman ever makes it in the next 5, hell,10 years.

She couldn't top 10 the B class at Loretta's much less make a national. You people need to get real.

Sarah Whitmore was barely a mid pack B rider locally when she was a consistent top 3 WMA rider.

Some people!! JP rode what would amount to a PC bike all year. While Ashley rode a box stock (except for pipe) bike. You really do have to know what you're talking about before you post. As for you others posting money bets.....be prepared to eat your words.

Anything is possible. In a few more years she might have a chance but right now there is no way she could make the program

that girl has heart. and the way i look at it, if you have enough heart and enough support she could do anything.

I say let her do what she wants, i give her mad props just for having the balls to say she wants to take to the boys. So what if she doesn't qualify, its obviously more a personal goal for her than to prove everyone wrong, which she seems to have a lot of heart set in doing as its brought up in just about every interview she does. I don't doubt her determination and thats what will get the job done. If she said she wanted tor ock up and win the title, then we'd have more grounds to diss her. But give her another year or two to reach more of a peak in her strength and riding and she'll have a good chance at qualifying especially if she can get on the practice tracks with the likes of the Red Bull squad and learn from the big boys. The only thing that will hold her back is intimidation if the boys get rough about about having her on the track.

Current Champ, my bad. I'll add she's about the only one with a shot in hell of having one in 09'.
