This must have been the other pristine KX 500 I saw there. Didn't he get shoved off the track at the top of the uphill start in one of his motos, or was there more than Collier's and Tristan's 500s there?

Last time I raced there in 1987 from what I remember the track was very similar to that.. seems there were some bigger jumps along the front section but other than that it is sure close to what it was sooooooooo many years ago....I still rememebr how rough it was on the practice day then they smoothed it all out for race day but it didn't take long before they were bombing range sized holes again...
FUN FACT:
The announcer for the 80/500 day had some medical issue, so the promoter asked me and my buddy Larry Jackson if we wanted to announce, said hell yea, so I was in the announcer tower all day... if I remember right we pissed someone off for calling them out .. don't remember much else but it was cool.
That vid brought back some memories... like the tree turn ripping a radiator off my bike....lol

The case reed motor is no slouch after some mods.. It was on the heels of a 500cc 2T bike twice it's displacement.
Very impressive...

Yeah Tristan went off the track on the moto one start, no idea if he was pushed off or not.

Man, he came back from dead last to something like 9th. He was on the gas. He was stuck up there for awhile too!
