Hi chaps ,
Bern lurking around for while but not joined till today. I've been floating around the Mx scene for years now but constant knee injurys have been slowing me down , so I've decided to buy a project to restore and do the odd super Evo meet .
I was looking for some 90's wise in Honda or yam form. Did the usual eBay route and saw a 95cr that had been restored then used for couple seasons and required some attention but there was one bike I had seen a 97 Cr but the budget was close as this bike wasn't in need of a restore as such. But after a lot of talking it threw myself and looking at the for sale link. I thought sod it lets give this guy a call.
To keep the post short I've bought it lol,
A 1997 Cr 125 from California originally.
Used but no more than 5 hours , shipped over to the U.K. And put into private collection where it has now come up for sale years later.
Here's some photos of it in the shop where I take delivery of it next week .
Not sure where to go with it in either stock but immaculate form or Steve Lamson rep 1-800 style
Here's some pictures of the bike , it has two aftermarket items which are works connection skid plate and frame guards
You can see only marks on the bike is some stone chips to the lower cradle
Was nice to see not restored and shows signs from extreme low use so I could see for myself what use the bike had , it's all totally original including chain a sprockets but the tires had to be changed as gone hard and showing signs of cracking but I do have them to if I really wanted to be anal and have it stock . It's never had a spanner laid on it .

My 2 cents are to keep this thing stock. It's just too nice to do anything to IMO.
I believe it will stay original,
Here's sneak peak at engine , very grey lol

Can any one tell me what this bike would of cost in California back in 1997?
But awesome find on the bike though!
I also run the Facebook page you recently joined
My opinion keep it stock like others have said. But IF you do ride it strip all the OEM plastic off, including the tank, and use aftermarket stuff. Or an older used OEM tank. They're discontinued and too hard to find!! Those 97 125 rear fenders are IMPOSSIBLE to find. That is the only year Honda did a white rear guard in that shape which are sought after for a 96 250 McGrath replica or 125 Lamson replica. There are UFO available but OEM are rarer than rocking horse shit!
