Is when they announce the Riders before the 450f Main and guys like Windam, Ferry, and a few other top guys hardly get a clap or a peep when there names were mentioned. Years past these guys would get a nice round of applause when they were introduced.
let's face it...the folks that attend these things aren't core moto..or moto at all

There are many things right with the way sx is today. A handful of riders can specialize part time and make millions of dollars per year.
There is also no turning back to the days of unique tracks (too expensive-cuts into profits), stacked fields (9-15 guys capable of winning on a given night), or full day events with several practice sessions, qualifiers, semi qualifiers, lcq, for 2 classes. They want 15 minute mains, less than 60 second laps, and get out of there with the money.
I truly miss the 10 hour drives to live the sx experience. It has been 2 years since I attended. Before that I made 2 events per year for 8 years. I just can't justify the expense for a total of 60 minutes of actual racing action. Gas or flight, hotel, restaurant, tickets, etc is over $1500. for me and my kids.
Whats sad about sat phx race is what is sad about the future of the sport of sx. The majority of people in attendance don't know the performers. Why? Because there is not a personal relationship to what they do.
