I picked up this little guy a while ago. Shoots like a dream and conceals very well. It has been pulling EDC duty since I got it to the range and broke it in.

Jeez, I thought gun-porn was all about the pictures...

Uberti Cattleman, case-hardened frame, brass trigger guard and grip frame, 4 3/4" barrel, smooth Walnut grip in .357. I ordered it exactly the way I wanted it, and it is one sweet shooter. This one will see plenty of trigger-time from my deck.

I still need one in .45LC, as it is clear that Dad isn't going to give up his SAA's til I pry them from his cold dead hands.

Not as cool as Newmann's Nightforce but I picked up this Vortex Viper PST FFP 6-24x50 today for my Remington 700. Can't wait to try it out!

I just got myself a Lee Enfield! I know it's not really worth a post but I'm pretty damn excited. It's a No4 mk2 1949 .303, cost me £380. Apparently it was mainly used in military drills, so the stock has a few dings (though imo that's part of its charm) but importantly the overall wear looks low and the bore is strong. The dealer (who is never away) is away for this one weekend and so I'll have to wait till Monday to get my hands on it Angry Anyone shot one of these? I'm limited with what I can own here of course but I can see the attraction of these older military surplus guns, so much history when you handle one.

Congrats on the new rifle.
Never fired an Enfield.
However, those old Enfield British .303's I believe are very accurate rifles and are respectable collectors items to a certain degree.
You should have a good time on the range with it.
As for the dings/little wear...it just gives the rifle some character.

You could also probably pick up a bunch of stripper clips for it.

It will make loading it on the range much easier.

The wife threw me a major curveball for mothers day when I asked her what she wanted to do on her special day , her response was she wanted me to take her turkey hunting tomorrow morning. Just got the scatter guns cleaned and oiled ,the baby is gonna hang out with grandma and grandpa ,just hope I can put her on some birds so she gets hooked on it.

Thanks! Yeah as soon as I physically picked up and shouldered the rifle I just knew I had to have it. I'm really looking forward to it for a number of different reasons - I love the slick bolt design especially (cock on close) and I'm also excited about the reportedly very nice to fire .303 rd. Plus the historic interest of such a famous series of rifles.

Every gun I own is far more accurate than I am so that's a bonus! It happens to come with some quite nice aftermarket vernier sights (apparently the previous owner later came into the shop wanting to take the them off after I bought it lol). Will definitely be wanting to pick up some stripper clips too.

Update: Picked it up finally, very pleased!

I'm guessing it was owned by some bloke called "Roy" at one point.

Doesn't show up in the pic but with the bolt removed you can see that the bore is almost immaculate.

Big bastards! Well, at least compared with what I'm used to firing.

Nice! Iv'e got a gsg 1911 .22 but it's been mutilated to comply with the nonsensical laws here. Desperate to go to America one day and try out some of the cool things you can have. Is it still tough getting hold of .22's in the U.S?

The ammo is what was in short supply for a long time. They've finally got the supply back up but it's still hit or miss in some areas. You can find the actual rifles pretty readily and actually pretty inexpensive.

I have a 9mm range officer operator 1911. It's like shooting a BB gun. Ok I'm exaggerating. But the action is so smooth and the recoil is so minimal. It's awesome. My fiancé loves it.

My oldest son has the same Range Officer 9. Sweet gun. Glad to see this year and a half old thread still popping up. Doesn't appear as if any of our guns have snuck out of their safes and gone on any killing sprees either!

Motocross83, that's a neat piece of history you have there. That seems to be one thing that the anti's always seem to miss out on. All the WW2 weapons built by all the different non gun manufacturers here in the US impress me.

Well I think this thread gave me the itch for muscle memory. So I picked this up today after a haircut. Couldn't passed up the price. Less than 400 out the door. Ill use it for three gun drills. I can afford to shoot more 22 than 556.

America. I love this country. MP 15-22 sport with 10 inch slim mlok rail and magpul flip ups. Can't beat it.

Dont worry, the left is working hard to transform us into Europe. immigration & gun control first.

Perhaps it's tougher sell to the American people to call it what it really is.

Private sales or gifting a gun to family member is now known as the gun show loophole.

We've already had gun registration laws but the Supreme Court decided that felons & others not supposed to have guns can't be compelled to incriminate themselves by registering what they're not supposed to have.

i know, theyre not asking for registration, only list of who has what, where & when. But only from those legally allowed to have firearms, not the people they say they're trying to prevent getting them

Oh, I did the background check today. Even put my social security number on the form. He current system is good enough for buying guns. If you're a felon it comes back and they don't sell you the gun. And if they're suspicious they can make you wait 7 days or longer. While they look into your history deeper than what they What the form asked I guess. Being in public service they got my fingerprints in the system already. I've never had a problem except sometimes I fill out box 12 on accident and have to start over. Duh.

Bargain 9mm ammo. 147 grain subsonic hollow point. Looks like some expensive stuff here at $1.19 per round.

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/176843/speer-gold-dot-ammunition-9mm-…

Here it is for under 25 cents per round, 350 rounds in a 30 cal ammo can for $85.75. Limit 2 with $12.99 flat rate shipping.

Better now than it was. Our local big 5 gets .22's every Monday, they open at 9;00am, and are usually out by noon. I go by almost every Monday. Kind of weird, sometimes you can buy 300 rounds, and sometimes they limit you to 150. No idea who makes that decision, or why. I like to invest in precious metals, mainly lead and brass... Laughing

Matt those Viper scopes are good. I have been mountain hunting for elk, mule deer the past few years, and my 300 WSM, takes a beating. The Viper has held good for me 8 years. Sideways

Geesh. I hate it when you walk into an American gun store and see a blowout price that you just can't refuse. A quick NICS check and you're walking out with this for $386. Woohoo

I have one of those GSG/ SIg's also. One of my favorite shooters. I just hopped it up with all of the ZR Tactical stuff too. If you haven't seen any of their upgrades, I strongly suggest you check them out.

I recently picked up one of the FS RO's in 9mm and I love that gun. It took a few hundred rounds for it to break in but it shoots great now! That's going to be my IDPA pistol.

Yea the action and recoil. It's just mind blowing. So smooth. Sigh.

Now that full size MP9 trigger sucks. Stupid hinge trigger. Ordered an apex tactical. My buddy put one in his and its night and day difference. No more spongey shitty feel. I swear it feels different Everytime you pull the trigger. The apex cleans it up swimmingly.

MX83, enjoy your Enfield. Get a proper sling and learn to work with it. Lots of reading material available on the Lee-Metford and Lee Enfield of all marks. I have Metford through to No.5 Mk1. Your "Mk2" means it's post war with the trigger pivoting from the receiver rather than the trigger guard in classic Enfield manner. Ammo in the Mk.VII spec seems to work best (174 gr. FMJ)
The worst being you can't stop at just one Enfield, not with such variation over it's long service life.
If you like these, you're going appreciate the M! Garand.

Been wanting one of these for years but every ad on Armslist seems to be a scam and all the ones on Gunbroker are scary expensive. Went to Collectors Firearms in Houston a while back and there it was, early 90's P7M8 Heckler & Koch squeeze cocker brand new in the box. Reasonably priced too. Haven't had a chance to go shoot it yet but hear they are super accurate.

I dont have any pics of my guns at the moment. But here is my current collection:

- HK USP 9mm (2 of them both with streamlights)
- HK USP 45 (with Crimson Trace laser)
- HK MR556A1 (with Magpul UBR stock & Vortex tactical scope)
- IWI Tavor
- Century Arms RAS47 (AK-47)

Next on my list of buys will be:

- Ruger Mini-14 Tactical 20CF
- a 22LR of some sort, probably a Ruger
- Mossberg 500
- UTAS UTS-15
- HK MR762A1
