Thanks Pete24, your hoarder/ball buster status is in check. Looking forward to seeing your Lusk replica. Thought about buying the mint 93 in Conn. On Clist right now, but I need to get the 89-92 models out of my system before I move on to the 93-95 model years.

Thanks wolfy0067, bike is in transit to me, appears stock pipe is in good condition, if not I will contact you. Been told spigot size is different 91 to 92 but cylinders appear the same ? Maybe mount points changed?

Each year Suzuki worked on the exhaust valves and port diameter, in an effort to increase throttle response. Like I mentioned pipe was brand new, bike fell over in the crate during shipping, dealer replaced at assembly/setup, slight mark on the pipe can sent pic's if interested.

Noted this many time before, but the first thing the factory teams did , was crank 3 degrees advance into the timing of this motor, cut the silence to 11in, it's a night and day difference in engine performance.

I have noted your suggestions & will do same, bike has an fmf spark arrester silencer, so I will likely get a Pro Circuit 304, which are still availible. I have never moved a stator to change the timing, would 3 degree"s advance be the equivalent to 3 mm"s clockwise from the standard mark?

Find a plastic degree wheel, find them at most stores, lay it on the stator, mark off the plate in 1 degree increments

Bummed I am a day late but I'm very interested in that 92 works pipe! I'm building a Brian Swink replica bike. I bought a '91 Suzuki works pipe but I can't get it to line up correctly. I can say the spigot IS the same size though.

There are a couple PC platinum pipes on eBay right now, The plating can be sandblasted off, I have done a few, comes out good, just more work! The photos you posted in another thread show a PC works pipe on your 92, is that the 91 pipe? I think there may be more gains made with t he correct silencer more than anything.

Oh, sorry for the confusion! Oops, I was talking about the '92 RM125.

I DO have a 1992 RM250 with a 1992 PC works pipe. I realize you are looking for the same pipe. I don't have a spare, unfortunately.

I also have a 1992 RM125, which I plan to build a Brian Swink replica. (I guess I could slap a #15 on the 250 and be done with it)... I found a 1991 works RM125 pipe, supposedly from Guy Cooper's bike, but it doesn't fit my 1992, so it's now posted on Ebay for sale. So, I am currently looking for a Pro Circuit works pipe for my 125. I may go with a platinum and remove the coating if I can't find the works. Good idea!

Here's how the '91 pipe fit. Definitely bummed. Sad

I tried glass bead in my cabinet first also, like you said, did not touch that nickel plating, had to suit up & use the real h/d blaster with coarse black beauty sand, sandblasting sucks! I did a pro circuit for my 88 rm 250, it had some rust already so the plating came off pretty ez, the fmf I did for my 96 cr was like new & was much harder to remove the plating, had my powdercoat shop remove it. I have thought about using my plating shop for removal but every time I drop something off there I"m not sure I"ll be getting it back any time soon"

Sucks about the 125 pipe! The 250 is looking good, works pipe only way to go, they are a pita but look awesome! When pipe prep is all done, I use a high temp clear paint, that way they don't rust as bad, after washing I have an oiled towel I wipe them down with.

Seen your pipe, I would have bought your pipe but I"m not the most patient person around! I bought a brand new pipe & silencer. This is likely my last build, after putting about 8-10 hrs into my kx pipe, I decided to just go new with the RM pipe. Thanks for the offer dirty30...
