Got a 93 Cr 250 an was Gona put an air striker on it... Question is, how many different air strikers are there? There seems to be a normal 38 MM. one but also saw a shorter version with quad vents or something which was slot dearer! So what is difference and what one should u go for? Cheers

There are a number of A/S PWKs out there. For example, the PWK on the YZ250 is very different from the one on my KTM 200, etc.

The one you need is the PWK A/S from the 2000 CR250. Still available from Honda, bolts right up. Have one on my '93 and '95 CR250s.

Yep, that's the carb you want, and thanks to barkhard696, I now have one on my 92 cr250.

This carb is what you want for sure. It's night and day to tune up compared to the PJ.

Ok cheers guys.... Barkhard I take it, after reading the information this is the long body, older style carb that should fit straight on to my 93? If so I can just phone my local Honda dealer and ask for the oem carb of the 2000 Cr 250? Thanks for all the help,,, this stuff is all new to me

I swapped out a early TM series Mikuni flat side for a 38 Keihin PWK ion a 1982 Suzuki RM250Z. The PWK Mixes the air and fuel better at lower RPM. Starting the bike is much easier. Mikuni TMX are good carbs but I Keihins PWK's work better in these areas.

I have a 2001 CR250R as my regular bike and opted to leave the TMX on. I adjusted the needle jet from the stock S-9 to a S-8 needle jet and the carb works great. The bike make great power with the TMX so I left it alone. A removable needle jet is an advantage Mikunis all have compared to Keihins.

I plan on putting a PWK on a vintage Husqvarna and sure it will work great. I recommend the Keihin PWK as an upgrade.

I agree, at lower rpms it really shines, I have been practicing mainly on tight technical trails at slower speeds since I bought the bike, glad I made the swap.
