Does anyone run solid rotors for offroad, specifically for the mud? I toasted my front and rear brake pads halfway through a mud race yesterday. Ive never had that happen before. Would a solid rotor even help?

they are great for that, yes for tons of mud solid rotors are the best and your brakes wouldnt have failed.

I have found solid rotors help too, however it is not a sure fix. I've eaten threw brand new pads even with the solid rotors but in the nastiest conditions.

What brake pads are you running?

OEM pads seem to last the longest in muddy conditions. We ride mud pretty much year round and dont use solid rotors
