Allways use baby powder and windex to get the tire on with. I was one of the first riders to run maxxis tires in 99 supercross. The team i rode for ran them. I can change them in about 5 minutes max. 1 thing make sure the tire is warm cold they are a headache. 2 first side start right before the rim lock then work around. Put baby powder inside the tire making sure it is fully done 3 Put a little air in the tube to get it to kind of make shape. Putting it in do the vavle stem last dont put it through the hole though.4 Windex bead and start just past the rimlock, go in small increments leaving the valve stem inside the tire area still. When its all the way on, now you just take a tire spoon and push the tire away from the bead area and with a little screw driver or needle nose put the valve steam in. If it doesn't come all the way through just bounce the tire on the ground in that area it will pop through....notes when mounting the tire make sure it is moist with windex this stuff dries with no residue. also make sure the bead stays in the belly part of the rim. and use motion pro tire spoons...

Changed some 3 year old silica rubber Michelin Starcross tires off a used bike today. Replaced them with Bridgestone M404's. Took me an hour. Freaking rookies.

Baby powder, lube, and warmth is all you need for a good time.

Getting them on is not so bad. Getting them off . . . die grinder time.
yeah I had the great idea of doing that while not thinking normally and managed to coat my arm in liquid rubber, not fun, but quick

Those extra long tire irons, maybe they were Motion Pros that made 'em easy when Davis was still racing.
