Oops.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to not being on the meds anymore.

What the heck , the Alessi's are always looking for more press anyway... Whistling

My understanding is that Mikes kneecap has been put back together and is strong as ever. The issue will be the mobility and pain in the knee.

Its probably his last chance to get this title, but hate to see him get hurt worse if he crashes again.

Last chance for him to get a title?
Funny, I said the same thing 2 years ago. While Langson won that year, no on expected it to happen either.

I broke a kneecap once. If he can ride at all I'm in awe. I was in agony for a month.

I have a friend who fell from a railing at school straight onto his knee when we were 14.. he broke his knee cap and now he is 23 and still gets weird feelings from it every now and again.. for MA to race 3 weeks after this shit went down....he is a tough guy! i hope he does well, and can manage to not ruin his knee for life.

there are allot of professional athletes doing all sort of rehab/enhancing that 'regular' people don't know about.

i didn't say alessi does any of those, but he has access to WAY, WAY more rehab options than us 'regular' people.

from over the years his actions speak as tho he would do anything to win, good and bad. it has been proven on the track many times. off the track? who knows.

If he feel he can do it then good for him. He just might get a championship out of it.

Shoot that knee full of novacaine on race day. Keep the knee packed in ice and elevated when not using it. Not doctors orders, obviously.Just what I would do.

I beleive it's just 19. That should be easy to overcome if he is able to ride like his normal self. He had a 31 point lead before PA. after just 3 rounds.

All I can say is that normally these quick comebacks don't work out too well.

I hope he makes it through the rest of the series ok.

Maybe he really didn't break his knee cap?
Maybe MX is like WWF and it's all scripted?
Maybe he just sat out a few rounds to "hype" things up a bit?
hmmm.....

He is trying to pull a Terrell Owens Super Bowl appearance. If he miraculously does race Lakewood, then I suspect he will just be going for his patented holeshots and hope fpr the best. Probably finishing 5th-10th, but hey, better than no points. This is also gonna affect his confidence a little bit. He will need some bad luck from Reed to pull this out.

It should also be mentioned that Colorado is the venue where Mike Alessi gave major props to ProMed while on the podium.

As I have said since his Pro debut, the kid has the heart of a Lion!

Didnt James try to race with his knee jacked up once trying to tough it out and he finally pulled off because it just hurt too much? Hope that doesnt happen to Mikey.
