Perhaps Stewart had better stuff to do than represent his team: Roller coasters? "Food poisoning" like he had at the US Open a few years ago? Blackjack? Roulette tables? Coke and hookers? Ping pong tournament? Discount buffet at the Rio? Free helicopter tours over the Hoover dam? No limit hold 'em with Mike and Worm over at Teddy KGB's place?

We want answers dammit! Where's the press release?
X2

Geez what's wrong with you guys? So he missed a press conference so what! I swear some of you'd complain if they hung you with a new rope. You don't know James personally, you don't know who made the decision, and you don't know him personally of what goes on behind the doors of the race trailer so STFU! If any one of you jerkoffs that are name calling has a firsthand account of what James was doing or saying that warrants him to be called a primadonna by all means feel free to chime in.....but you don't

So sit back enjoy the final race of one of the closest points battles in recent SX history and cry about it later

Too suspicious.

All that does is show how well the pressure to get James to race the summer worked out...

Brooks made him turn down an interview with CBS to be aired on national tv, why would it surprise you that he wouldn't let him go to a press conference that only internet motoheads would hear about?

at the end of the day, blubba is paid to win championships...... not to be nice.... not dress up like bon jovi... not sign autographs for days on end..... if he makes it to a press conference, it should be considered a bonus, not a must do....

with that said...... probably what Really went down was that LB knows his hitman ordering azz is nearly busted..... he didn't want Blubba up there lying to the people on public record saying he didn't know anything about it.... LB knew most of the questions were going to center around KC's take out move last week.... LB doesn't want to add flames to the fire, and doesn't want to force Blubba to have to lie while being questioned....

Has anyone thought about the fact that James just didn't want to be asked a gazillion questions about last weekend? He is focused on Sat Night. He knew the press conference was going to be about last week. I would not have gone either. I gaurantee Chad would not have been talking so much shit HAD James been there.
James will do his press conference on the track when he wins Sat night and takes the Championship!!
Apparently you've never thought about the reason they have press conferences, the people who ultimately pay the bills what to hear what they have to say. They are designed to get people into the stands and have people tune in on TV. It should be part of his job to answer those questions.

Your guarantee about how Reed wouldn't be talking shit, well we will never know because apparently the sports largest Primadonna (IMO) decided to hold his rider out to show his distain for some perceived slight. Yes real professional behavior and a credit to the sport. I hope Brooks partner realizes (once again imo) that the problem and drama in his camp last year wasn't Reed, it's Brooks.

James set precedents all the time so im not suprised he didnt show and honestly i dont blame him as the press conference could have gotten ugly. he's doing what james needs to do keep a clear head and win the Championship cuz when its all over and done thats what is important...

He would be asked the same redundant questions about LAST week - Kyle this,
Larry that, Chad this. I don't blame him for not attending.

My statement was general; he (or someone from L&M) should’ve made the press conference. Not for the BS surrounding KC but for the good of the sport. If we want the sport to grow, you gotta feed the press.

exactly what is wrong with this discussion. Its turning on the people themselves.

Its tradition.

good point ...but maybe james wanted to attend but was ADVISED not too,.......I can't believe he would not want to go unless he has the flu or is injured.........

never been a huge fan but he has a lot more respect for the sport than what people give him credit..

I'm sure if James asked all to please refrain from asking about last race, and only wished to talk about Vegas they would have agreed.

No media guy would burn a future bridge with James or a shot at future interviews.
