I doubt it. They can ride the 450 class on their 250F though.

I believe that they can also jump to a 450 if they want.

4.5 Supercross Lites Class Regional Guidelines

a.Riders must declare the region in which they intend to participate prior to the season.

b.Once a rider has declared their region, they may not transfer to the opposite region in the Supercross Lites class unless the rider is injured and failed to qualify for an evening program. The rider must remain in the new region for the rest of the season.

g. Supercross Lites East/West Regional riders may compete in the Supercross Class, provided they are eligible for the Supercross Class as outlined in the AMA Supercross licensing regulations. Riders may only compete in one class at each event.

Most of the 250F riders do not have a FIM license ,

it takes more than a phone call and $600 to get one too.

I doubt we see very many doing it.

So since J-Law & Alessi both failed to qualify atthe second round they are both eligible to go East. Is there an official list of what region the riders are riding?

I'm sure that the rule means that they can't have qualified for any events during the series. Also, I'm guessing that the injury would have to be an injury that prevents them from trying to race rounds. That's my interpretation of the rule though.

I'm not sure about the list.

I'm also going to make the assumption that "evening program" refers to the entire evening program, not just the main event.

Our East coast Lites rider, Kyle Keylon will be in the Lites class this weekend. He has been riding in the 450 class the first few rounds, almost making the main at A2 through the heat. He was running 10th.

Shaun Skinner might show up at Houston to race the 450s, but he is still a West coast Lites rider.

Seems like J Law could benifit from riding Houston on his 250F. Exposure, nobody expects you to win, seat time, more 2009 stadium supercross experience, and confidence. I dont see why alot of guys wouldnt do it after they are out of the Championship.

I guess there is always injury, but , these guys cant ride with that on their brain.

Any chance that Skinner will run a 250F?

He'll probably get some good TV time if he does, just for running the 250F in the big bike class. Could be really good for his sponsors.
