RC, Bubba, Reed, MC, RV, Stanton, Bayle, O'mara, Bailey, Ward, ect ect ect have had "great" careers.....

K-dub has had a "good" career.... won some 125 sx titles.... won several 250 mains... but he underachieved.... basically quit the sport at one point... and if he had even tried to ride hard the first half of the 08 sx series he would have won the title.. i dig K-dub style and am generally a fan of his... but i'm a bigger fan of guys that give it 10000% no matter what- like RC, Bubba, Henry, Magoo, ect ect ect... K-dub/K-fade only rides hard when it suits him... and he has not ridden to his full potential since 98'.... anybody that saw him ride in person back then knows the difference between the 98' K-dub and the 08 version....

A very good comparision. Both are two immense talents that somehow never managed to win the overall title.

I think Windham is fairly content to just be riding well, doesn't neccessarily have to win. And like was said before, he has to be really "feeling it" that day to go for it. It really is a shame that he hadn't applied himself a bit more in the early part of both of the last 2 seasons. If he had run as well at the beginning of the championship as he did at the end, he would've had this SX title and likely the Outdoor title last year also.

All in all, he has really shown some real desire the last few years and seems to be having a lot of fun with the sport. I think he will be around for quite a few years yet, and hopefully gets some more chances at that elusive title.

Man how do you really know what he's capable of? There is one winner, and many variables that dictate the outcome. Not every rider can take home the championship but I know KDUB gets the closest then any other rider as of now. Dont knock him for getting second, just STFU, or applaud him for his effort. The guy has a kid, and enough sack to even be out there. Let alone be in the championship run. Remember there is life after motocross.

This thread is really about RC. If you take away RC you have KDub winning multiple championships.
And racing RC straight up for a title he has beat RC the same number of times as Reed has= zero.

I can believe that. Just seemed that on the track things were working a lot better for him.

Doesn't matter. He's accomplished a lot and is a fan favorite. I hope he continues to race for a few more years, stays healthy and has solid results.

Windham has always been able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If he didn't finish second to RC, he might well have finished second to someone else.

Incorrect how? I didn't mention anything about titles in this thread.

However, if you are talking about titles then most people would assume you are talking about National titles, not regional ones.....

Jimmy Gaddis won a title, but I wouldn't count him as one of the sport's all time greats....
