I guess I don't have a strong opinion one way or the other. And OEM satellite team ought to have its wits about it in terms of deciding who gets its resources. If the team has a track record of making good talent decisions, then I guess the benefit of the doubt on this ought to go with them, and the proof will be in whatever results the kid gets.

Im going to guess Landon Currier,he has been off the radar, and I believe he is running the blue stuff,which might give a certain someone the inside scoop....

So what do I win for getting it right?

[quote:a2n7onxk]This rider is obviously going to get some sort of special treatment in order to get his pro and SX licences and entries.[/quote:a2n7onxk]
My opinion on the special treatment aspect is this;
Why should it change now?

I mean it happens pretty often, right now one example I can think of would be Tyler Bowers.
He didn't race any AMA Arenacross, he raced BooKoo.
Unless I missed something he didn't get the points in last years MX series?
I don't remember him getting the results needed at LL's?

But there he is on the gate for the East Coast lites.
So how does that happen?

By the way, I like Tyler and am not slamming him at all he is a talented kid who has the skills to be out there.
Just an example I could think of off the top of my head.

Why would you assume you are the one who's right?

That's my policy, I always figure I am right no matter what.
Of course this has been proven not to be the case by a couple ex-wives and about 1,000 ex-girlfriends but I am sticking with my program.

It was meant to gauge your opinions on several issues;
A kid going from supermini to pros in about 13 months, and never even racing A.
The rider has never won any major titles or races (that I'm aware of) but is going into a OEM team.
This rider is obviously going to get some sort of special treatment in order to get his pro and SX licences and entries.[/quote:2xq2hzpt]

OKay..my opinion. First off, its all about the money, always has been and always will. Anyone can buy a SX license if they want to if you have the connections and the money.

I am cool with that though, I don't mind kids skipping the A class straight out of the mini ranks either. If you are that good, good for you. If your talent has excelled so quickly that you can do that, great. Its not like he is sandbagging, if I understand you correctly, he is racing the highest class possible that he is eligible for currently. Its all good.

What I don't like is kids not moving up to A or even B classes because them or sponsers want to pick up titles or some other bullshit like that and basically just being sandbaggers.
