Time for me to get on my soapbox:
I was surfin over the local MX websites, and I decided to check out http://fastrackmx.com/ since its about 90 miles away and had a Loretta Lynn Qualifier comming up.
I have heard through the grapevine recently that they have started to charge 15 dollars admission fee to everyone who enters the track on practice days. I have always liked to take my younger brother, father, or mother with me to the track, just incase something happens to go south. So with this track, it really is actually discouraging safety, by forcing a guardian to pay to enter. They think they have hit the big leagues by FINALLY getting a Loretta Qualifier on their 12 foot wide track.
There are a few reasons that this practice admission is a little absurd:
While they do have the only covered grandstands around, your still [b:2j7135w1]shittin in blue porta-dungeons[/b:2j7135w1]
The wash bay is a little shoddy and they hardly have anything that remotely resembles electrical hookups
If the track had running water and bathrooms, I dont think I would see it a problem to charge maybe 5 bucks to get in on practice days. I know I could just not go to this track, but it is nice to support local tracks, and this place has been hurting ever since Scott Barrett has taken it over.
No other track in the area, even most in South Florida charge entry on practice days. And with the price of gas hittin the fan, I think Mr. Barrett will see his attendance to his track decline.
Feel free to comment.

Monster Mountain has hookups, bathrooms, showers with Hot water and they don't charge spectators practice.

Well if you want to ride in the MX Capital of the World, it's gonna cost you!! LOL
So just where is the chick that was on here two weeks ago running her mouth how great her track is? This is her track right?
Starwest out here use to charge 5 bucks for spectators on practice days. No other track did, they finally saw the light and the gave up on that idea. I think when the new owner bought the place he actually did away with it.
15 bucks is alot of money to just watch on a practice day, how much does it cost to actually practice? Funny how I can go to Glen Helen, or any other track in the area as the Nationals get closer and see 10 to 15 pros practicing and I don't have to pay a dime. Maybe it's not so bad to not live in the MX Capital.

It doesn't sound like he's trying to support his local track.
About that chick, I saw her on here a while back, but she hasn't popped back up. Maybe the owners will see this and realize its retarded.
I don't see how they can claim to be the MX Capitol of the World. Davi moved to Ezras old place in Bainbridge. Cairo is actually 20 miles away, with MTF and GPF (Josh Woods Place) about 30 miles out.
Lets try to name the pro riders from South Georgia, and North Florida. And we can also try and name the pros from SoCal.
Ricky Carmichael (his practice tracks are in Cairo, lives in Tallahassee)
Davi Millsaps (Bainbridge)
Martin Davalos (MTF)
Josh Woods (lives up north somewhere, has a "training facility" down here)
Bryan Johnson
Stephen Clark
Freddy Karlee
Thats all I can think of for the MX Capitol of the World. And just for the record guys, Im from around Panama City.
In a way he issuporting the track, the owners need to know how their customers feel.

Actually GPF and MTF are less than 10 minutes from downtown Cairo.
As far as pro racers there a few more, butthe amateur talent there is thicker than anywhere else.
As for MTF and GPF, there is also Action MX Park, which is owned by Zach Bell's dad. At any one time there will be 6-8 national caliber kids there training. This place is less than 10 minutes from MTF.
Here's a quick list of really fast amateurs that have relocated to Cairo...
Zach Bell
Chase Bell
Gannon Audette
Joey Savatgy
Justin Barcia
Brandon Mays
Sean Lipanovich
Steven Clarke
Cooper Webb (not sure if relocated, but trains there)
I'm sure there are more but that's just off the top of my head

I know that MTF and GPF are 10 minutes out of Cairo, but have you been to Fastrack lately? Its 20 miles out of Cairo on the other side of town.
True there are fast amateurs there, but for what its worth, we were speaking on how it is the MX Capitol, with all the pros around. And I'm pretty sure there are a few more fast amateurs in SoCal.
