I wasn't there but have to wonder how a track like this continues to pull in the huge entries year after year with such poor customer service and dangerous riding conditions?

I recall some of the same issues after last years Whitney Am national.[/quote:3ffec3c2]

EVERY year the entries get higher and the crashes get worse.

I have a personal friend who was an hot AM./ rider in 2001 when he broke his back and hasn't been racing since.

Same thing happens at World Mini too. Entries up. Injuries up.

What's the answer?

Bikes are faster and nobody lets off either. Riders need to respect their own limits too.

I'd put up with a lot to ride there, that track is sick.
Then again I'm from Cali where most of the tracks are groomed concrete.

Maybe if they would stop groomin the freakin track every couple of motos and leave the ruts for "real mx" it wouldnt become a speedway (which leads to the bad crashes)......its gettin ridiculous. Parents need to shut up sometimes, they complain wayyy to much.
When we first went to Whitney the ruts were awesome..not anymore
I have ALWAYS VOLUNTEERED to help with sign up...i've done it locally for years....and still havent been taken up on it. I just don't get it.(and im not talkin just whitney)

It will continue to be this way as long as the "industry" keeps up the charade that you have to go to these events, 5 am nationals, in order to get support and be the next factory superstar.

Look at this way, its like when the Powerball gets to $200+ mil. The lines at the lottery counter are 5x as long. LL, TX, Mini O's is the AM mx'ers/parents lottery. Until it gets back to where it once was, which it will never do, every kid/parent who thinks their the next big thing will be at these races. I know a lot of kids who have simply stopped racing locally, for many reasons, so they could chase the dream. That dream starts at the gate of every LL qualifier......

[b:30d12nvw]The race workers are some of the rudest people anywhere. Lisa Pescok is a FAT ASS RUDE PIG. The other FAT ASSED women around staging aren't any better. I quit going there 4 years ago just because of this. HONDA OF HOUSTON never got 1 more cent from me or my family. The MARTINS can go take a leak in there own boots. I've never even thought about harming a woman , but after that race I thought about it alot[/b:30d12nvw].[/quote:30d12nvw][/size:30d12nvw]
