So, when Stewart was racing, him and Chad were in a whole other time zone from the rest.
Now, Chad is "struggling" with some unnamed problem so that the racing is tight?
And Millsaps, who couldnt even get on the podium until recently is suddenly beating Chad?
Windham happens to win his hometown race, and next week Millsaps happens to win his?
Something stinks!

I truly thought it was going to be another boring series with everybody else settling for second.
So the real question is, did Chad slow down, or did the next 4 guys just pick it up? Once you've got the skills the difference between winning and just showing up is all in your head.

With both RC and James out, more riders feel as if they can win, as if they have a chance.
Say what you want about Chad, he kept pushing and believed he could while most all others battled and settled for the scraps.
1. Stewart's knee slowed him during the first two races.
2. So, Reed wasn't really as fast as a fast Stewart.
3. A still-racing Stewart, with the injured knee, might get beat by more than just Reed.
4. Reed seems less intimidating than the likes of Stew or RC, and that provides inspiration.
5. The beer/samoa cookie combo I overindulged in last night is now backfiring.
That too and part of the others inspiration
I think you're right. He's heart broken and the other guys know it. His lack of podium tears and whining have broken his new winning spirit. Just what I saw on TV.

they learned that from nascar?
Monster Jam
I think he is consistent, but he fears pushing it on the bigger bike.
Chad has ridden hurt an awful lot and seems to have a pretty damn high pain tolerance.[/quote:fksmn4cu]
he's a bad mofo...

whatever anyone thinks about Chad...I'd have to agree that he has a high pain tolerance. Remember him dislocating his shoulder in the 125 MX and racing the second moto. That's not easy to do.
Pit Row
Windham has always had the ability to run that speed, doesn't give 100% unless he has a chance of winning.
Milsaps has gotten faster.
Ferry has LaRoccitis.
The rest of the pack is pushing harder, maybe this is what has been needed since 1993.
Compare the lap times for 1st-10th, they're getting closer. They should be getting farther away with all the riders that are out.
And of course the writers strike was settled the week before Houston, coincidence?

one ill timed crash and reed all of a sudden people think less of him? hahaha, once again, par for the course.
millsaps always had the potential to be a real contender and join the big 2 (bubba and reed at the moment). hes getting healthier by the race.
and kdub was supposed to be the 4th member of the '06 dream season. so dont be suprised by his win, hes still got a couple races in him. not enuff to be a full time contender, but enuff to be there a few times a year.
due to his run at the heels of RC and bubba all these years, chad still has everyone covered by a mile. i just wish GL, Hot Sauce, and Alessi were all healthy so they could join the fight. those three have no excuse for not being "contenders".
we will have a big 4 again once it is BT, RV, Reedy, and Bubba are going at it in the same class. time will tell if Millsaps, the Hype, Hotsauce, R2D2, JLaw, GL, or any others want to join the party.

I agree kdub has some good races left in him, I wonder if he's tried to get a ride together for the outdoors again, it seems he could get someone to pay him to do it now and he would have a great shot at the title especially if Reed is still sitting out.
we'll see if GL is the real deal. millsaps? IT?
as of right now i see the big 3 come outdoors 800, 101, & 7 (he does plan to race right?)
i wish reedy would join the fun but oh well.
But kdub is a guaranteed top 5 outdoors I think which should be good enough to get paid to do it.
That and .79 cents will get you a big gulp at 7-eleven. What's your point.
Makes no difference how or why, Davi and won and that's the bottom line.
