Got my six year old a new set of A-stars today, as he outgrew his last pair of boots in record time. They are white, just as he requested. When he was trying them on, he says, "I'm a pro." I said, "White boots don't make you a pro, being fast makes you a pro."

He responds, "I have white boots, really nice gear, and a mechanic. I am a pro."

I don't know if he is a pro, but he sure has it better than Dad ever did.

Here's a pic of him at our home track.

That's cool.........and they do say the darndest things.

My 6 year old is playing hockey right now, and doing quite well. He figures he's going to be the next Sidney Crosby (for those of you that don't know Sidney Crosby, he's a pretty darned good hockey player.)

My kids are staying away from bikes. I want them to have a hobby they will still be able to do in 5- 10 years.

When my youngest was six we had ordered a pair of White A-stars. He fell off of a trampoline the day before they got here and hurt his foot. That Monday when I got home the boots had come in and he was wearing them riding in the back yard.
When he took the boots off his foot was black and twice its size so I took him to the E room and of course it was broke.
life is dangerous for kids if they do anything other than PS3.

Given the prevalence of childhood obesity and early onset of all the diseases associated with the condition, I'd say life is pretty damn dangerous for those spending all their spare time playing PS3.

a couple of years ago at the first race of the season my bro and his buds were sitting in their pit all complaining about how slow and out of shape they were . my five year old nephew was just sitting there not saying anything and one of the old guys turns and says to him 'trev , you looked pretty good out there , you were really charging hard ' . my nephew's response ... 'yea .. i rock .'

That made my day, little kids are so funny. My nephew is 2, I'll give him "horse rides" on my back and before we go three steps he'll jump off because he likes falling for some reason. It's pretty much the funniest thing, his evil laugh going all the way to impact then he hops back on and does it again.

He used to be exited about crashing too, until he actually did it once or twice!

Not as much fun as he imagined I guess.
