Linkage question

2002 cr125. When tightening the piece that goes to the shock and swingarm to the link arm, it has zero movement. Back It off an 1/8th of a turn and it's smooth as butter. What can cause this? Without the pivot bolt going through, the two peices themselfs fit nice and snug. Ive never seen this before.

Something is bent? Something is missing or worn so that when tightened parts collapse close together? Post pics.

I had an issue with one of the bearings being too tight on my linkage. Didn't have the proper tools to remove or replace them and there was a small lip from trying to get the old bearing cage out which caused the problem. Mine was at the front part of linkage where it bolts to frame though. It got tight as soon as you inserted the pin into the linkage.
