In his second ever 250 race (now the 450s), he beat Tortelli, Reed, Fonseca, and DV12 to name a few. Not bad.

AC was so hyped strictly because he dominated everything in his amateur career. Every interview or video I've seen of him, he is super humble, well spoken and so are his parents. Not even in the same zipcode as the Alessi's who were also dominant, but thought their shit smelled like roses.

Even Stevie Wonder can see that AC does (did) not have enough mass on him to ride a big bike and not get hurt easily. He's a super ectomorph. Maybe that was one of the reasons for the split with Baker, who has his riders (too) lean at all times.

In any case, there is no doubt in my mind that AC is gonna win championships in the future. He may not be the next RC, he may even have to take the Christian Craig route but that dude has too much skill/talent/brains to not achieve greatness.

This rider may be bright, eloquent, and obviously talented but that doesn't necessarily mean that his emotional maturity is at that same level. And, I am not implying that he is any less mature emotionally than any of us morons were at his age. For us pit racers, it may be hard to imagine the expectations that go along with being a phenom at his age with a golden pathway to stardom all laid out just waiting for him to show up. Let's hope he can stop focusing on trying to meet those expectations and instead just ride his motorcycle for the pure joy of going that fast. Like they say "it's all about the journey not the destination"...

I'm not saying anything bad. But he all these boys covered coming in to his career. I'm thinking the 2 plus years of actual racing time on the bike he will never have back. I would never say anything bad about this kid and hell look he led some laps outdoors last year, before he ran out of gas and was left sucking wind.
