You can check ebay and the listings that accept a best offer are going to be your best bet. the deals youre seeing are about as good as it gets for the general public though. Unless you know an inside guy or can you a sponsorship/promo deal from Arai.
I picked up a bell flex moto 9 for $250 shipped to the door from a shop on Ebay. Shops have demos or blems also, that get scooped up quick. Just dont be impatient and if you dont get one, move on to the next. happy hunting.

Just for reference, it took me 3 weeks to find one for the price I was willing to pay.

Cheapos!! It's like the guy that drives 500 miles to save $200 on a YZ450. Spends more on gas than he would have if he had bought the bike from his local dealer and the established a nice relationship while supporting the shop he grabs a can of chain lube for a minute pinch. No more chain lube in a pinch when the local shop closes down!

Excellent way to approach the free market. Expect customers to pay more for a product just to keep your business afloat. What's stopping a dealership from opening their own online store, selling more product and lowering prices? Oh yea nothing. It's a tough business I get that, but taking your frustrations out on potential customers is not the solution. It's not the customers fault dealerships prices aren't competitive.

I get it, but only to a point....and that point doesnt include paying $600+ on a helmet (or anything for that matter) I cant get for less than half that price. Thats just being a smart consumer. I buy bikes from my local guys, but I dont hesitate to drive another 50 miles to save 1k OTD on the same bike at another dealer in the oppisite direction down I-4. I will buy all my oils, lubes, grips, filters etc. from my local place, sure, but when it comes to high price items I will get the best deal possible.

Tpog496 has a solid point. We, collectively as consumers, should not have to pay ridiculous prices at a dealer when the "guy next door" has a better deal just for the sake of keeping local dealers doors open. Sorry that just isnt feesable. Its like walking down the street in NYC and paying $10 for that hotdog when another guy, who has the same cart selling the same hotdog, is selling one for $7. 30%, or any signifigant discount, price cut, sale, call it what you want, is welcomed by everyone in this sport. Its pricey as a hobby. You add kids and a family in to that equation youll look for everyplace you can to save a $1, much less $100.

I completely agree. This subject has been beaten to death with the "SUPPORT LOCAL SHOPS ONLY" crowd, and in their defense I get it. i just cant justify paying more for anything just to fund the exorbitant overheads that a dealership has, and I think its silly for anyone to try and give anyone else a "guilt trip" (for lack of a better term) for being a smart consumer.

So if that makes me a cheapo, Ill take that title if it keeps my and my little boy at the track having fun vs having to pack it up because I spent the money we set aside for track fees, memberships, etc. supporting a local shop. I wont apologize or feel bad for that.

My local dealer is a 1.5hr drive from me, he cant get any deals on them since he does not stock them nor does any dealer around me. I live in the middle of no where, trust me I'm dealer loyal, bought 20+ dirt bikes and side by sides from them, they killed all prices on anything for my 125 build but they cant deal deals on Arai I don't need the stay local speech.

Some manufacturers have pricing plans to try and prevent that.

only one dealer within 100 miles of me. surprisingly Cernics didn't even show up on the dealer locator. I love to support local dealer and companies as I'm in a family small business as well and know the stuggle.
